05.01.2022 2019 World Lacrosse Men’s Indoor World Championship Australia 13 def Germany 6 Australia finishes in 9th Place, after winning a total of 6 out of 7 games. In our pool of five teams we won 3 of 4 games, defeating Costa Rica, Sweden and Austria. Unfortunately, the loss against Finland meant not winning the pool and missing the chance to play in the Championship Bracket. ... To our teams' credit, victories in the Placement Bracket followed against Scotland and Ireland, leading to the Play off for 9th place against Germany. The Australian Team were up and about all over the floor, from start to finish, not giving Germany a chance to establish any rhythm. Jeremy Snider was a rock in the goal, with Nathan Bell dominating possession from the face-off. Team defence was solid all game with everyone contributing, Caleb Hall and Ben Muxlow mopping up all night. At the other end, a stand out game from Matt Taylor and well supported by Marty Hyde, Jesse Whinnen and Tristan Rai in particular.
