06.01.2022 Impartiality is in my nature and goes hand in hand with my role. My reputation and integrity proceeds me. No question. However what that does not stop me from ...doing is allowing myself to recognise world class martial artists and the other is empathy and recognition for the journey and sacrifice that fighters make. Few will truly understand but that won't stop the masses from showing appreciation and of course it never should. It is of course all welcomed. Mixed martial arts is a game of extremes and last night we witnessed those emotions in full. I get to hold a truly privileged position and role with that I do and believe you me it lies deep within my heart - so that's why it hits so hard and the recognition and emotion remain such a strong feeling. Neil Seery and Gunnar Nelson showed us last night what this sport is all about. The unseen and untouched variables and spectrum of this sport - an absolute joy and honour to bear such close witness and again all I want to say is thank you. #fortune

03.01.2022 Define persistence. I'm on the 2nd floor and this little fella has crawled all the way up from the grass down below. Considering the size and speed he moves mus...t have taken him a day. Never quitting, dealing with high winds and torrential rain. Kept moving forward. Got me thinking even when facing seemingly insurmountable odds it's about keeping the head down and just taking it one step at a time, not letting the magnitude of the task drown you. Just keep chipping away and you'll get there. ...I could almost hear him cry as I effortlessly flicked him off the window back all the way down to the ground. Yeah life ain't fair, who told you it was??
