25.01.2022 Two (2) Scholarships are open to STEM practitioners in each of the following categories: - Indigenous STEM Scholarships for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people - STEM Pride scholarships for people who identify as LGBTQI+ - Regional STEM scholarships for STEM practitioners who work in remote or regional Australia (>150km from a major capital city)... - Technology scholarships for STEM practitioners working in the technologically based areas of engineering and information technology. 20.01.2022 The JNS is now announcing the call for nominations for the 5th (2021) Joseph Altman Award. World wide applications will be accepted. The Award was established with a fund donated to the Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS) by Dr. Shirley A. Bayer, a widow and long-term collaborator of late Dr. Joseph Altman. Dr. Joseph Altman, who discovered neurogenesis in the adult mammalian brain, received the International Prize for Biology from His Majesty the Emperor of Japan. Accordingly, ...the Award is to recognize up-and-coming researchers who have made remarkable achievements in the field of developmental neuroscience. We are looking for speakers for an ADNF PhD/ECR seminar blitz, held on December 8th. This event is open to Australian as well as international speakers that are PhD students near the completion of their theses and ECRs (1-3yrs as a postdoc), and we are pleased to let you know that we have already secured several abstracts for the event!
