24.01.2022 just got back from holidays. Have been invited to ZoneRV this month to view the new 20ft creation. When I see the final TARE I will make a final decision on my custom build and whether it will be 18.5 or a 20.5. I admit I am getting a little apprehensive and yet excited about the next 12 months of preparation

23.01.2022 Well I am into my 3rd week. Where does time go. Have so much paperwork to do before I take off west. I think I have got to grips with the van and the towing will come with practice. I have the tracking activated and will post details of how to access when I update the big lap page this week. My initial plan is to go out to Birdsville for the big red bash and then back to Quilpie to have the chassis serviced for the first time. After that I am not sure where I will head but I hope to get the cameras out and tell the story

18.01.2022 Well everything appears on track. Money man says go for it. Application for uk pension well under way. I won't get a lot but every little helps. Clay at zone Rv is taking a rest whilst he enjoys fatherhood. Thank you for working with me. The build will start in March and hope to be on the road by June. Jobs to do include tracking my journey. Getting sufficient data for video work. Feel I can start to get excited about finishing work so the adventure can begin. Website updates as I have the time

18.01.2022 Ok getting scary now. QSuper report in hand. UK pension estimate being requested thanks Hazel Weir. Need to make appointment with Lighthouse Financial at Redcliffe and see into the crystal ball. Order the van and get excited.

16.01.2022 Ok been out shopping today. Getting ready to pick up my home towards the end of April. I am excited yet nervous. A big adventure is ahead. I have planned to go to the Big Red Bash near Birdsville at the beginning of July. This will be the first big trip. If everything is ok I will keep going north to the gulf and Darwin. If minor repairs need doing I will return to zone Rv before I finally take off. So long in the planning it is nearly here

11.01.2022 Having the final upgrades done on my ute today then going to zone Rv tomorrow to finalise the plans and sign off on those. Just a little longer and I will get some super to buy it. Hopefully this time next year I will be at Big Red for the concert and head up to the gulf for winter

05.01.2022 Just over two weeks into the build so about 3 more to go. I have had a suspension upgrade done on the ute. With all the recovery gear on board I was close to maximum weight on the rear axle. All things being equal I should have a payload of around 5-600 kg take 250 off for water gas and diesel I will have 350 for stuff. I have started to update the website in preparation for the big adventure. I have neglected it for a time as my head has been dealing with other stuff At th...is stage I will go to Coolum beach caravan park for two weeks. Then I will head to Woodford Showgrounds for a week. I will finish packing and set off on my maiden adventure to The Big Red Bash at Birdsville. I hope to catchup with as many as I can before I leave.
