19.01.2022 The Individual competition is intended for the serious golfer. Normal golf stroke play rules apply. Golfers who have a verifiable handicap from Golf Link will be eligible for handicap awards. Handicaps will be adjusted to reflect the Par3 format. i.e. Full course handicap multiplied by 75%

17.01.2022 The Australian Par 3 Championships had its origins in Sydney in the 1980’s, but has not been contested in recent years. The event is being revived in 2019 by the Grafton Rotary Club with the support of Grafton District Golf Club. The Grafton course will be converted to a challenging PAR3 format for this special event. Length of holes will vary from less than 100m to over 200m so most competitors will want a full set of clubs. As well as a contest for the serious golfer there will be a variety of categories and prizes for Amateur and Social golfers.

15.01.2022 Hole 3 would normally be 401m par 4, hitting over a creek. In this event as a Par 3 hole, you will tee off 110m from the green, in the centre of the fairway. How easy is that! Expecting a few birdies here! Maybe even holes-in-one.

12.01.2022 The first hole at the Grafton course is already Par 3 and is 132m long. The second hole in our Par 3 format will be 171m and will look like this from the tee:

09.01.2022 The 4th is a little more challenging than the 3rd. 196m and you will need to hit straight, with a tree on the right and bunker on the left.

01.01.2022 At the same time as the individual competition, there will be a Teams competition, designed to be suitable for less experienced players. A team comprises 3 or 4 players. Ambrose format will be used (4 ball best ball).
