17.01.2022 A message from our Chair...

16.01.2022 Following our previous communication, in light of recent developments with the COVID-19 outbreak, we would like to remind candidates of the precautionary measures in the Clinical Assessment. As before, the Council encourages candidates with an upcoming Clinical Assessment who have a fever or flu-like symptoms, shortness of breath, and have travelled to areas where cases of the virus have been confirmed and quarantine has been advised, to contact the Council. Recognising these... exceptional circumstances, we will assess each request to consider rescheduling of the assessment at no cost. (Please note that you may be asked to produce medical or other relevant evidence to support your request.) We also ask candidates who do not fit the criteria above but are feeling unwell or recovering from illness to wear a mask during the assessment. The Council will provide masks to candidates. We currently anticipate Clinical Assessment sessions to continue as usual, however we are closely monitoring the situation and will keep candidates updated should anything change. If there were any government-mandated closures, we will contact affected candidates by email. Current information about the COVID-19 outbreak can always be found at the Australian Government Department of Health website at https://www.health.gov.au//novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov-hea In the meantime, we hope everyone stays healthy and well, and wish all candidates the best in preparations for their assessment.

15.01.2022 We continue to closely monitor the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation in Australia. Regretfully, based on the information currently available to us, we have decided to .... The Council has been constantly assessing the potential risks of COVID-19 on the health and safety of all involved in the Clinical Assessment, including candidates. This has been a very difficult decision, however, as before, we feel that on those considerations it is necessary to suspend the assessment at this time. All candidates with a Clinical Assessment scheduled during this period will be rescheduled as soon as it is possible for us to do so. We will reschedule all candidates according to their position on the Clinical Assessment Waiting List. https://physiocouncil.com.au/latest-information-about-coro/

12.01.2022 https://physiocouncil.com.au/inthistogether2020/ Never before could the world have imagined the resonance and salience that this years theme for #NRW2020 would have amidst the outbreak of a pandemic that has all but felled the world. But as this health crisis has blatantly reminded us, just as in reconciliation, we are all #InThisTogether.

04.01.2022 https://physiocouncil.com.au/latest-information-about-coro/ ...We advise that in the interests of the health and safety of our candidates and staff in the Clinical Assessment, we have made the difficult decision to suspend Simulation Assessments effective from today until 30 April 2020. We are aware of the difficulties this will cause, but we feel that there are no other reasonable alternatives in the current climate and will resume Clinical Assessments as soon as it is dee...med safe to do so. All candidates with a Clinical Assessment scheduled during this period will be rescheduled as soon as it is possible for us to do so. The Council has also made the decision today to temporarily close our office situated in Richmond, Victoria until such time as it is recommended safe for staff to return. Please rest assured however that in the interim, the Council will remain fully operational and the entire complement of Council staff will continue working, albeit remotely. With the exception of the impact of COVID-19 on the Clinical Assessment and Equivalence of Qualification New Program assessments, all other assessments will continue. 01.01.2022 https://physiocouncil.com.au/covid-proofing-the-council-fo/ COVID-19 may have impacted on the way we do business, but certainly not whether we do business. For the Council, the past 9 weeks have been a time of innovation, collaboration and possibly more than anything else, living by our immutable values. We continue to put people first.

01.01.2022 https://physiocouncil.com.au/good-news-for-candidates-duri/ !!! We hope this finds you well.... As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to challenge and restrict our lives, we thought it was time to send you some about what we are doing behind the scenes to ensure as little disruption, and as much support, to you as possible going forward.
