23.01.2022 Are dairy farmers really getting a fair go? ABC Landline aired this story today. A mandatory code of conduct means new rules for how milk processors and farmers do business, but the consumer is not part of the process, the farmer seems to have little influence or say, and there seems to be room for shenanigans as the situation is complicated Raw milk supporters want carefully produced raw drinking milk because they often cannot tolerate what is for sale in the supermarket. They want a direct relationship with the farmer, so they can obtain the kind of product that consumer preference dictates, that also benefits the farmers, the animals, local communities, and contributes to robust food systems. 21.01.2022 Great news everyone, we hit the target for our fundraising!! Thank you to everyone that contributed funds. We have now engaged the scientific consultant to begin the review. We will still likely need to raise more funds at a later date for the lobbying campaign but for now let's pat ourselves on the back for this wonderful team effort!

20.01.2022 "Next time that someone says, milk is for cows and not for humans, share with them the intricate link between civilization and raw milk, and the competitive advantage that raw milk provided to humanity for 10,000 years. Many of these misinformed humans are in dire need of gut microbiome rescue like never before. Reach out to them with love, compassion and humanity. They need our support, nourishment, and education." www.rawmilkinstitute.org/updates/why-humans-drink-raw-milk

19.01.2022 Some people make the strangest of investments Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos (Amazon), and Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) are funding an artificial breast milk start-up that offers a so-called 'green' alternative to baby formula derived from artificially produced human breast milk from lab cultured human mammary epithelial cells. What will the future of ARMM on Facebook look like?

19.01.2022 Very, very interesting news from New Zealand, indeed! At least 74 farmers are producing raw milk for sale, but information shows just 23 have signed up to the four-year-old scheme (by being registered with MPI). A Hawke's Bay farmer said rules on selling raw milk are failing because they are too expensive to put in place. The raw drinking milk system in New Zealand is an example of economic imbalance. The system is so dysfunctional, it is just not going to keep working Peopl...e’s economic right to get the high quality products they desire, are restricted by this system that show much evidence of not serving the community well. This is an opportunity for change, and Australia can learn from it. #systemchange https://www.rnz.co.nz//two-thirds-of-farmers-selling-raw-m

18.01.2022 Endings and new beginnings. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the raw milk community for the love and support of the last four to five years that I have been the social media manager. It has been an honour and a delight to serve the global raw milk movement, as well as local food communities. There has been change in my life, as there has been for many. I am making adjustments and room for new beginnings and new experiences. After long and careful deli...beration, many tears and sadness, I leave this role behind. However, I do believe that the time here has served a vital purpose for all. We have enjoyed fascinating information, joyful times, and a necessary educational experience, with which we can move with grace and conscious awareness into the future. I wish the ARMM committee and the new social media manager every success and new beginnings of their own. I hope to benefit from unhindered access to my favourite food along with you all at some point soon in the future. Blessings. xx See more

17.01.2022 The International Scientific Conference on Raw Milk was held in Valencia, Spain on October 23-25, 2019 and the video presentations were recently posted on YouTube. They were a delight! www.ausrawmilk.org/blog/iscrm2019

17.01.2022 We are so grateful that even in these uncertain and challenging times our wonderful raw milk supporters are digging deep and donating to our fundraiser. If you feel so called please see more information below. We are inching closer and are almost half way there! https://www.ausrawmilk.org/donate

17.01.2022 If the government installs a system that ends up not serving the community well, who should foot the bill or live with the consequences? The New Zealand taxpayer and the consumer paid for this system, and now many consumers are going without their favourite food, and some dairy farmers can’t get that better income producing that high value product. This is a fine example of imbalance that needs rectification and rebalancing in order to serve everyone. If it is not in the best interest of all, it is not in the best interest. 15.01.2022 Happy 2021! We feel confident this year is going to be a great year! First off a big thank you to everyone that has donated to our fundraising campaign. We are so close and while the exchange rate with the US is favourable we are keen to see if we can rustle up the remaining funds required to engage the scientific consultant to critique the FSANZ risk assessment on the safety of raw milk. We need an additional $2000 and every bit counts so please if you can dig deep and help us move this campaign forward. https://www.ausrawmilk.org/donate

14.01.2022 Consuming raw, grass-fed cow’s milk, especially in early childhood, protects against allergies of all kinds, including hay fever, eczema and food allergies, a new Polish study finds

11.01.2022 Raw milk advocate Michael Schmidt just published a book. It is 464 pages about the 25 year legal battle in Canada about raw milk. In Ontario, a constitutional (charter) challenge to a national and provincial ban on the sale and distribution of raw milk is nearing the finish. In November, the parties involved will argue the case before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice in what should be the final phase of the litigation. Among those challenging the ban in court is dairy farmer Elisa Van der Hout whose husband is Michael Schmidt, the one who has done more to promote and increase access to raw milk than anyone in Canada. 11.01.2022 Freedom march with locations around the country ! Can you believe trolls are setting up fake events to confuse people. Why are they so scared of empowered people? We just want freedom to decide what we eat, think, say and do; our human rights!

11.01.2022 The Hare Krishna communities all over the world adore their cows. There are about 80 cows and bullocks at this farm in New South Wales. "All our cows and bulls live their whole lives here and they're never slaughtered or sent off the farm." The devotees at Iskcon New Govardhana say their mission is to serve, worship and protect cows while also educating others in the principles of cow protection. Some of these communities overseas are able to produce raw drinking milk for hum...an consumption, and this milk is in great demand. It makes this way of life more viable, and local communities love being able to access these dairy alternatives. See this example from ARMM’s case studies: https://www.ausrawmilk.org/blog/ahimsa-milk This is not for everyone, but our case studies do show that there is consumer need to access dairy products from other farming models that are considered to be more ethical and desirable. They are willing to pay premium price for it as well... See more

10.01.2022 In the recent ABC Background Briefing story, people from the medical profession and public health say that raw milk is too dangerous for people to consume. Prohibition-based policies around raw milk - which focus solely on minimising risk - are missing the critical point of raw milk's unique health benefits, at a time when they are desperately needed. We are bacteriosapiens. It is our nature. Raw drinking milk from cows can be produced not to contain pathogens as this latest research also show. 08.01.2022 Will the parliamentary inquiry studying economic recovery consider the benefit of Real Food? Real value food systems may make it worth it - financially, physically and emotionally viable - for unemployed Australians to move and settle in the country to fill these ‘farm’ jobs. Many city dwellers are yearning for a switch to a meaningful country lifestyle. If you are so inspired, please make a submission to the federal parliamentary inquiry asap. 08.01.2022 Some good news in Victoria : raw milk cheese!

07.01.2022 Did you know that the science of producing safe raw milk was flourishing way back in the late 1800’s? Read on for an interview with Dr Edward Tindall DVM, who worked at the Walker-Gordon Certified Raw Milk dairy in New Jersey.

05.01.2022 An interesting article about the book written by Michael Schmidt (the Canadian raw milk farmer who has been fighting a 25 year legal battle). The book is called Raw Milk and the search for Human kindness. Sounds like some very relevant lessons in there for us all during these unprecedented times.

03.01.2022 Freedom is in the air! Let's unite and rise as one on September 5th in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and wherever you are in Australia. It's time.

02.01.2022 #throwbackthursday Antibiotic-resistant microbes have been with us for many decades, for a large variety of reasons. Antibiotic resistant genes are now everywhere, thanks to antibiotic abuse, unhealthy intensive farming conditions, chemicals and systems that are unfriendly to and stressors of microbes etc. There is also a lot of institutional divisiveness that expects us all to adhere to standards of food safety, but an ignorance of how we have been mass producing resistant ...microbes in those systems. Our food is commonly sprayed with agrichemicals with antibiotic properties, that can create antibiotic-resistant microbes in the terrain. This article is one of a few on ARMM’s website that looks at the bigger picture of how they came about A few days ago, it was published that researchers from UC Davis had looked at bacteria that harboured antimicrobial-resistant genes and how they can transfer to other bacteria, potentially spreading if consumed, due to spontaneous fermentation at room temperature. However, the bigger picture is worth exploring Perhaps those things that create the antibiotic-resistant microbe in the first place, is more worthy of receiving attention and remedy. Even if health officials consider raw milk to be a potential source of unwanted microbes, should we not weed out the cause instead of fingering the raw milk? If these microbes were to make their way into regulated raw drinking milk, it is important to understand that a hasty pointing of fingers at the dairy farmer may not be an accurate assessment of the problem. Launching an assault on carefully produced raw drinking milk’s virtue without proper consideration of the bigger picture, is therefore counterproductive from a certain point of view. All life is precious, and that is especially true when it is microbial in nature. Up to 80% of immunity lies in the human gut. Multi-species beneficial microbes in the gut lining are our partners in health. 01.01.2022 Melbourne is the only area under stage 3 lockdown, AGAIN. For six weeks. How is our economy supposed to handle this Daniel Andrews? Melbourne is the food allergy capital of the world. Also, Australia have the highest rate of food allergy in the world. Allergies are the immune system going into hyperdrive. Victoria is also the state where raw milk laws keep Victorians from enjoying the health benefits of raw milk, unless you own the animal. https://www.ausrawmilk.org/b...log/what-is-raw-milk Melbourne, Victoria, Australia is not an ideal place to live. Melbourne is home to a large health, medical and research community, and Victoria is the biggest dairy region, and they all seem to have reason to be opposed to raw milk legalisation. The so-called experts say that a vaccine is the only solution, but some of us prefer access to another form of immunotherapy as first line of defence for our immune systems, as research shows Is exclusively waiting for a vaccine showing care and thought for the future? #freedomofchoice https://7news.com.au//changes-to-melbourne-virus-lockdown-
