16.01.2022 BREAKING NEWS: AHPVSS 2020 Cancelled Following message is from the Australian International Pedal Prix Dear All... Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic the safety of our competitors, teams and our community has remained our principal concern. Over the course of the past four and a half months, the organisation has endeavoured to bring rounds of the UniSA AHPVSS to fruition. We had sought to implement two modified events in August and September. Despite the easing of restrictions we don't believe it is possible to conduct events of an appropriate standard and be compliant with all elements of the constantly changing guidelines. Given the nature of the Series Events, they fall into the very high risk category and as such require a Covid-19 Management Plan. The details of this plan has yet to be released by the State Government, adding to ongoing uncertainty. While South Australia is currently well positioned in terms of controlling the threat, recent events in Victoria have shown just how virulent the threat is. Mass gatherings remain a substantial concern. Accordingly we have reluctantly decided to cancel the remainder of the 2020 UniSA Australian Human Powered Vehicle Super Series. As many of you are aware we fund current year activity from current year income and have taken significant steps to reduce outgoings. We are offering teams the choice of a 60% refund of entry fees paid or a corresponding credit toward 2021 entry fees. A request form is attached for this purpose. Note we only require one form irrespective of the number of entries you have. You do not need to identify each entry - we have full details on file. After letting the returned team from Aurora Racing get a lead of a lap, the team from Bendigo managed to slowly wind them back and take the lead. This time holding strong and winning by 2 laps over Aurora and their fierce rival Relentless Racing. . 2nd: Aurora Racing: after taking an extended break from racing, this team returned from retirement ready to win. Their first rider s...et a cracking pace. However as the day dragged on Toothless pulled them back. Aurora finished 2nd overall. 2 laps down on the leader and 3 laps up on Relentless. A great result as they have returned. . 3rd: @team_relentless_sa Trump Trikes: The team from South Australia had high hopes for the race. But some punctures and other hidden problems made the vehicle difficult to ride. 03.01.2022 Welcome to the final episode of talking trikes for season one. This season we have talked to so many great people in the community, both Kyle and Darcy have learnt so much and we hope you have as well. Although this is the end of the first season, ARN is not finished for the rest of the year, there still will be plenty of videos out on our Youtube and Facebook page, as well as updates and media from our insta. This week we talk to Tim Corbett, Tim is an accomplished rider, builder and speed trike racer.
