17.01.2022 Gday Guys, Today the boys were hanging out in Ballarat, they had a few jobs on the go, CCTV and jetting for new sewer mains in a upcoming estate...

14.01.2022 G’day Guys, Had a little subdivision in Castlemaine today, Anne has decided to split up her block and put 2 houses on it. Quick little jet and then camera to make sure the sewer is in tip top condition to handover to Coliban Water.

14.01.2022 My old mate Colin from Wattle Flat has blocked leach drains coming out from his septic. Gotta love farm life, my water for the jetter was delivered by tractor and a cup of tea with a tim tam was my reward after we unblocked the drains. Once again I’ll try to improve on the photo taking. Cheers.

13.01.2022 G’day Guys, So I’ve had a few questions around Relining, how it works and why is it cheaper than digging it up? So,... Pipe relining repairs your pipes by curing them from the inside using a special resin which in most cases are stronger than the original pipe. The resin is the key to curing the pipe, a resin-saturated felt tube made of generally polyester or fibreglass for resin impregnating, is inserted into the damaged pipe wrapped around a inflatable packer. Once in place the packer is inflated and the felt tube soaked in resin pushes hard against the inner walls of the host pipe, the resin hardens and forms another pipe with in the damaged pipe, repairing the problem with in hours. There has been a number of cases that the damaged pipe is under concrete in a house, as well gardens that have been established for decades or even in business that can’t stop work, this is when relining is the best way to repair a damaged system. No destructive digging, cutting of concrete, jack hammering inside your house and not 3 to 4 days with four different trades coming in and out of your house the hole time. Relining 99% of the time is done within a day. See in the picture below, the orange is a relined pipe inside your everyday house hold pipe. If you have any other questions feel free to call me, happy to have a chat. Cheers Simo

06.01.2022 G’day Guys, So a while back we got a call from the Puckapunyal Sewer Treatment plant saying they have a broken pipe up a pump well, they catch was it was under 2 metres of concrete! Luckily, Aussie Drain Care are licensed installers of the Smart Lock system. It’s a expandable self locking resin impregnated stainless steel sleeve that is easily installed (for our operators). The plant stayed running the whole time as the sleeve is ‘flow through’, this also meant no digging!... After some descaling and jetting, the sleeve was installed and a crisis was avoided. Smart Lock can do from 100mm to 750mm and a special order of up to 1240mm. See more
