24.01.2022 There is a lot to celebrate tonight! The count isn't yet in but we know a spark has been ignited and change is coming. The time, energy and effort you folk have contributed to giving life to ABP is both humbling and inspiring.... You CAN make a difference and already have. It's taken many hours of strategising, late late nights, coffees, phone calls, posts, emails, SMS's, chats, volunteers, donations, troubleshooting, planning... the list goes on. It's been a grassroots campaign on a shoestring budget where we have been buoyed up by the positive support and input from all corners. Regardless of the outcome in this election we know that people are sick of being forgotten by people who should represent all Victorians. For now, let's celebrate we live in a wonderful country when we can have a voice in vote. Thanks Team ABP!

I’m here live in Frankston where I was born 52 years ago getting ready for the Sky News program. Labor and Liberal are flogging every party at the polls in their dodgy red tshirts, volunteers who are most likely paid to help hand out voting flyers! ... It’s time Victoria to help us rise as a fledgling new minor party and show us your support by offering to volunteer these next few days for 2 or more hours. Please message us. 15.01.2022 Dear Aussie Battlers, After barely a day off since May, I’m now day 1 of some R & R. In the topsy turvy world of counting votes, it truly feels like we’re all on the Big Dipper. ... Saturday night it soon became apparent the ABC guru Antony Green was once again green in his abacus! He might have had a few sherries while counting! The .3% he claimed I needed, WE hit .9% and still lost! Down in the East, we were almost the winners until 4pm yesterday and the count started to swing against us. It’s not over yet, but the final mountain does look like Everest! Sunday after the main count seems like a foggy year ago already! It wasn’t quite a Sept 2017 Tigers celebration, but I’m sure the Plough Hotel in Footscray new we were optimistic in the count! It’s been difficult with communication as we couldn’t say we’d won or lost! Quite an odd feeling actually. To everyone that played their parts big and small, it’s been a hectic journey! We have much to consider as a new Political party. The temptation to go forward Federally knowing how tough and expensive the journey is...! I’m sure Victorian Politics and the public know Aussie Battler were the smoky that came from nowhere and caught many by surprise, which was our plan all along! Parts of the media slaughtered us, labelled us, bullied us and so we opted to be silent than engage. While great parts of the media were true saints! Aussie Battler party had more than 30,000 people vote for us! Quite an achievement really! The so called ‘preference whispering’ is such a beat up! The papers just want to sell papers! We opted not to engage in defending ourselves when the facts are the ALP are the greatest preference manipulators out there! Democracy has no chance when a party can spend the volume of money they did and promise Blue Sky day after day. Today as I write there are ALP candidates elected on a handful of votes due to preference formatting which ultimately serves big rich parties! 09.01.2022 Hi Battlers. Plenty of news. Some positives. Some not so good! The final count has been concluded for the upper house. Regrettably we haven’t won any seats. ... There are heaps of positives and a few frustrations. In my region there were 48 candidates. Only 8 finished with a higher primary vote. That in itself is pretty amazing and says heaps about our brand and the people of Victoria including you are awake and wanting change! For all the bullshit that The Age and people like Antony Green go on about with micro parties doing preference deals which supposedly effects democracy, in my region the Labor surplus of preferences went to effectively nobodies (other minor labor candidates who are total unknowns) who received only 400 and 1440 votes in their own right yet both got elected! That’s hardly democratic! To think someone got only 10% of my total and still got elected is evidence enough the voting system is totally #^+&ked up and heavily geared to favour rich major parties funded by us!! On a bright note we will contest the federal election and with greater preparation, we clearly have self belief we the team including all you amazing members and supporters will start to make inroads to getting a fairer go for the millions of Aussie Battlers who like me are fed up with the bullshit that dribbles coming out of our Highest ranked politicians! 3 cheers Aussie Battlers, we are on the march!! 01.01.2022 The rollercoaster ride continues! As of 5.30pm Thursday 6th December we’re back in front by just over 400 votes!! 90.99% of votes have been counted. In football talk, we’re 5 points up with 5 minutes to go! ... Fingers crossed things stay the same!! Personally it’s been one of craziest emotional rides of my life. At times it felt like victory was likely, drink a few beers while avoiding counting our chickens, then discovering days later it’s all over only to discover we still have a heartbeat several days later!! I genuinely have no clue what the outcome will be!! In the meantime I’m sharing another announcement here. Aussie Battler Party based on our overwhelming support at the polling booths will be going National!! We need to bolster our membership ranks. We can now accept members from all over Australia! Please encourage your friends and family right across Australia to jump onboard! We need to urgently lodge our application to the Australian Electoral Commission!
