20.01.2022 Thank you to our Aussie Buggy Family, we didn’t realise we would get such a response from all our fans and we are buoyed by your support and thoughts. We probably need to clarify our position in regards to the closure. We aren’t bagging the Government or ACT Government employees that have forced us to close, in fact, we feel sorry for them trying to enforce a position that is obviously full of grey areas and contradictions. What we can say is that we have been caught on a te...chnicality that has been exploited by a lousy member of the public that doesn’t want people of the ACT to have fun. What people don’t understand is that this business started out of an accident that occurred, where the grand daughters of our landlord would have died if they were driving a quad bike rather then a buggy (pictured). Tim Liston assisted repairing that damaged Buggy and through this adversity, a business idea flowered and was just starting to get traction (ha ha) until we were asked to shut. The Landlord updated his Land Management Plan late last year, whilst we tested if this business was even something that the people of Canberra would support. You have shown us that you like the idea and we are really appreciative of that Crown Lease variations can take 3 to 6 to 9 months to change and we were given 10 days and 20 days in our warning letters. Whilst asking for a realistic time frame with which to comply with a crown lease variation process we were slugged with a fine and forced closure. Its that simple. Please don’t worry we will get a day before a tribunal to put our case forward. In the meantime if we were able to operate on the existing tracks that would be appreciated however that's totally out of our hands. We appreciate your continued support and hope to see you when we reopen #Supportlocal
