24.01.2022 AUSSIE FRIENDS OF LEBANON Mission Update: Here we see our Angel Mama Vana delivering food and love to the blind and the incapacitated. One of the ladies, sadly, is dying of cancer. As you can see, they’re living in complete darkness because they can’t afford electricity. The other pics show the beautiful food our volunteer chefs and waiters are serving to the poor in our Beirut cafe.... kinda making me hungry. We Can’t wait to visit soon, God willing, guys. 20.01.2022 This little boy is one of hundreds of children we feed daily at the AUSSIE FRIENDS of Lebanon Cafe in Beirut. What makes him so special? He noticed that Vana (the manager, and our angel), who was so busy feeding the poor and afflicted children, hadn’t eaten for a while. So he offered Vana his cake. Some people have so much and give so little, but blessed are the ones that have so little and give so much. Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 18:3.

Let usglory in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, in whom is our salvation, life and resurrection, through whom we are saved and delivered. May Christ be in our mind, in our lips, in our heart, in our actions, in our life.If this noble and holy desire were to come true,let us not forget that to follow Christ and to live His life necessarily require carryingHis Cross and all that it ...entails, not with mere resignation, but withjoyful acceptance and for Love. We remember Our Lord’s words, He who does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for my sake shall find it (Mt 10:38,39). Meditating on these words we unite ourselves our souls and bodies with His obedience and His sacrifice; and we rejoice in this inestimable gift through which we have the hope of salvation and the glory of everlasting life. On this eve of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, it is a Maronite tradition to light bonfires or candles in remembrance of St Helena who lit bonfires on mountains all the way from Jerusalem to Constantinople to notify Constantine that she had found the Cross. As we cannot gather in large groups this year, I invite you on this occasion to light a candle tonight in your home asking our Lord Jesus Christ to protect Lebanon and the Lebanese people during this time of hardship and suffering, by the power of His Holy Cross. We also pray for Australia that it may be safe from disasters and protected from every harm. O God, who willed that Your Only Begotten Son should undergo the Cross to save the human race, grant, we pray, that we, who have known his mystery on earth, may merit the grace of his redemption in heaven. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.

18.01.2022 Disgraceful! Just look at the impact the explosion is having on children in Beirut. This is the reaction of little children when they observed the fire at the Beirut Port yesterday. They are pleading with their parents to take them to the country villages to get away from the turmoil that’s engulfed Beirut. 15.01.2022 No rest for the devoted. Today, we had the pleasure of visiting St Felix de Valois Catholic Parish Church, Bankstown. In doing so, we managed to sell some icons to raise funds for our AUSSIE FRIENDS of Lebanon Mission. We are so grateful for the parish (priests and members) who were so hospitable. The church including the garden and grotto is so picturesque and majestic and the statues inside the church were breathtaking. Thank you St Felix

This time, our charity is seeking to provide much needed assistance to afflicted children and, of course, their families who are in desperate need of food and basic necessities. Lebanon is fast approaching winter and still, there are hundreds of thousand of people (especially children) who are homeless, impoverished and denied access to basic care. In particular, we’ve identified a critical shortage of: Baby nappies Baby formula Baby wipes Vitamins Milk powder Cans of - tuna, sardines, corned beef and Spam. Please note - all food must have > 12 months expiry date. Please help us to help them by donating as much or as little of the above items as you can.
