22.01.2022 Term 4 bookings now open. Competitive Gymnastics classes descriptions: Junior Development (Boys & Girls): If your child wants a bit more of a challenge, then this is the class. Fun is always an integral part of all our lessons, however with this class we focus a bit more on development. This is a pathway into potentially taking up competitive gymnastics.... The following squads are by selection or try out only and the focus is perfection: Boys levels 1-4: The boys will train on all of the six disciplines that make up men’s gymnastics as well participating in various competitions throughout the year. Girls Levels 1-2: This is the start of our competition pathway for young girls who aspire to be gymnasts. At this level they will focus on all four disciplines of women’s artistic gymnastics, flexibility is a big part of the sport, but so is fun. Girls Levels 2-3: When the girls enter this class they will start the process of preparing for competition. It does require a commitment, but it is definitely worth it if. Tumble Squad: Not all Girls and Boys want to do Artistic Gymnastics, so why not try tumbling. It has all the thrills of flipping and somersaulting, and competitions are definitely on the agenda.

10.01.2022 Aussie Gems is thrilled and honoured to announce our new Gymnastics Director, Martin Shields. Martin will lead the Aussie Gems gymnastics program into a new era, from recreational to competitive. Martin was previously the Mens Head Coach at Manly Warringah Gymnastics with competition experience in South Africa, America, Europe and New Zealand. MWGC were nine times named NSW Mens club of the year and twice overall NSW Club of the year under Martin's guidance and direction.... Career goals: Successful management and growth of a community club. Coach of the Australian Gymnastics Mens Level team, with Internationally successful gymnasts. Personal goals: To help develop the current culture of gymnastics by putting the athletes physical, mental and emotional health as a priority and making results a bi product from this approach. To assist and empower all young people I come into contact with. To build into community and always do my personal best. Martin officially starts with us on Monday 27th July and can be reached after that date on [email protected] We will be adding additional Gymnastics classes to our term 3 timetable, watch this space.

Our qualified gymnastics instructors make this fun while developing all the gross motor skills gymnastics has to offer. Parent & Me This is where Mum and Dad get to have lots of fun with their young children. Without doubt you will absolutely love doing this class with your child. Our circuits are set up to challe...nge our children while making it as fun as possible. This is where all children develop, balance, movement, rotation, static positions and Laughter. Try not to miss out on this class it is where all foundations are built. Recreation, Junior, Intermediate, Senior Not everyone want to be a competitive gymnast, which is why we at Aussie Gems, offer a class for Girls and Boys who want to do all the flips and tricks without the big commitment. Great instructors and a fantastic environment. Boys Recreation: This class is all about the boys. Focusing on all the men’s equipment while having all the fun of a mixed class. A balance of Strength, flexibility and Fun.

09.01.2022 AUSSIE GEMS COVID-19 SAFETY PLAN Hygiene practices - Personal hygiene practices including;... o thorough and regular handwashing o covering a sneeze or cough with an elbow or tissue - No deliberate contact will be allowed, this includes; o Stunting (until 1st July) o Spotting (until 1st July) o And any other contact that may occur during fitness, tumbling or pre-schooler classes - Aussie Gems has also introduced several cleaning protocols including; o Regular sanitation of common areas including admin and the café o The cleaning of all equipment used after each class o And several sanitising stations that our staff and athletes will be encouraged to use regularly. Pick up and drop off - Train and go o athletes to arrive at the gym, train in designated areas and then leave without interacting with other groups. - Upon entry/ check in, athletes will be acknowledging that participation is at their own risk. - All athletes must bring their own drink bottles What we will do - No two teams will train in the same area at the same time. - A training attendance register will be kept enabling contact tracing - Social distancing will be maintained (at least 1.5m) while training (until 1st July) - We will publish regular updates on our covid procedures on Facebook and via email - Pre-schooler bibs will be washed after each use Access - No change rooms will be accessible - The Hukilau Café will practise social distancing between tables - Bathrooms will be available as per usual And most importantly, we encourage all athletes and parents to stay home if they are sick.
