My name is Ellen and I live at Willow Fields, a small farm in Hay, NSW. I’m a teacher at the local primary school and whilst spending some extra time at home earlier this year, I wanted to challenge myself by learning something new. I taught myself to crochet and I was hooked! I began creating items with a focus on contemporary design which led to me starting my own business creating beanies and other items for others. I love having the opportunity to use Australian produced and milled wool and cotton to create my crochet projects and take pride in knowing that my passion also supports other Australian businesses. I’m Josey - from Melbourne and the founder of my little business Crochet by Josey where I hand-make crochet apparel!... My mum taught me the crochet basics when I was younger, and from there I’ve been learning and continuing to grow my skills through watching videos online as well as drawing inspiration from pinterest and from other crocheters. I’ve always loved creating things, and recently got back into sewing and embroidery.
