25.01.2022 Our service has been recognised for having a healthy food and drink menu! Our menu was assessed by Central Coast Local Health District’s Health Promotion and Nutrition Services as part of its Munch & Move Healthy Menu Award Scheme The assessment looked at whether our menu met the food intake and nutrition requirements of a child as based on guidelines in NSW Health’s Caring for Children Birth to Five Years. This incorporates the latest Australian Dietary Guidelines and Infant Feeding Guidelines and looks at how much fruit and vegetables, breads and cereals, iron, dairy and protein foods children in early childhood education should receive. Congratulations to all involved!

23.01.2022 Each day for several weeks now, the children check the construction site across the road to see what type of machinery is on site. As a result, Educators have supported the children’s interest and learning through small world set ups. This has then continued into other areas of the indoor and outdoor environment #learningthroughplay #interestbasedlearning #lifelonglearning
