24.01.2022 This is another one of our reserved items. The piece has been made from 100% reclaimed Australian Hardwoods. The photo was taken at Sugarloaf Creek in Castlecrag. Both the frame and photo were made and taken By Vic. Vic, of Down Under Woodworks, is an Aussie home garage woodworker, maker, and YouTuber. He has also been instrumental in shining light on the Australian maker community.... 20.01.2022 More auction items!!!! Sumos Projects. Hand crafted Drinks opener and Coaster set made from 100% reclaimed Australian timber.... Dirk Gibbons is A happy go lucky woodworker from Australia. Learning is life & I love life. He is a full time truck driver but in his spare time he is always trying to build something for the home and the occasional commissioned build. @sumosprojects Mynd Creations These bottle openers were all hand made with Red Gum and Camphour Laurel. Each one was turned on a lathe and sanded back to show the beauty of the timber. Then the threaded rod was forged out at one end and hand beaten and cut into the shape you see. The other end was then threaded into the timber handle to give a strong finished look. Liam Brunner is an Aussie Maker, currently working on establishing his own business and is in the early stages of promoting it by making projects and videoing them to put up on his YouTube channel. @myndcreations Please comment on which item you are bidding on Place your bids in the comments. 08.01.2022 Yet another beautiful late addition to the auction This decorative blade has been made by hand and kept somewhat unrefined for aesthetic reasons. This knife is not intended for cutting etc. But would make an excellent gift for a spiritually minded person due to its natural qualities. (Eg. Athame)... Slate - Balancing, calming, stimulate visions. Selenite - Calming, clarity, peacefullness, purification Pyrite - protection, willpower, strength of mind About the creation process - Made from repurposed spanish blue roofing slate and selenite. The slate blade has loads of small pyrite inclusions, which have been brought to the surface through the sanding process. Selenite split by hand, carved internally to fit the slate tang, then glued back together to form the knife handle. Shaped by hand using sandpapers and off cut slates / slate paste. Finally, an ornamental sealer has been applied. Kane is an Aussie maker who is a slate roof tiler by trade. Being able to get the results he does on such a fragile product shows the immensity of his talent. I find that when I am able to work on my projects, it serves as a source of peace and tranquillity, where I can be totally taken in by the moment Slate Carvery Place your bids in the comments.
