08.01.2022 Is this the same dog?

08.01.2022 Tragic story... So.... I was out to groom a clients dog the other day at the south side of St Marys . Customer is elderly and a bit disabled and the dog (Lucky) has always been very friendly. We schedule a wash every three months. When I got there the owner was in tears, a few days earlier someone had threw some bait over the fence. Lucky although he vomited the poison out, upon further examination from the vet was unable to eat any food because of growths that had occurred... in his stomach due to the poison. He was to be put down the next day. I went to say goodbye to him. There he was looking so cheerful and lively like nothing has happened to him. I was in tears, it was not time for him to go. Who would poison the best friend of a disabled man, Lucky meant the world to him. When I left I was so upset and so angry. The owners previous dog had been poisoned a few years ago, and the neighbours dogs, both of them had been poisoned. Which sick, twisted individual would do such a thing. Earlier this year there was another sicko baiting dogs in the park. Normally I do not post as I normally keep things to myself. I groom dogs for a living, And i do understand how painful it is for the owner. And after many, many passing of my four legged friends, death has a lesser effect on myself I do not cry easy. But this was awful, so upset so angry. Please be careful, and keep a look out for your neighbours dogs as well. We all need to protect our dogs and our community's dogs from the maniacs of the world. Regards Mikki Lim
