23.01.2022 Well after 3 weeks of backbreaking work sorting shifting lifting,cleaning scraping and painting the pottery studio renovation is almost complete. It’s fabulous to have the extra space. The new tables and wheels arrive 7am tomorrow morning. If you want to take a look at the new renovated studio or just want to know what pottery is all about ask questions about classes call by and see us. Shenny, June and myself (Deidre) will be happy to answers any questions. Come along and enjoy the nibbles and have a cuppa.

23.01.2022 The last of the students work to be fired. Unfortunately it is a long process and you can’t fire a kiln half full. June and I have been busy over the break making work to fill the kiln and finish off the last of the pottery. Thankyou to my students who are patiently waiting for their pottery. It’s not quite as full as it should be but it’ll be okay

23.01.2022 The response to my pottery classes has been overwhelming. I am really excited to be sharing this age old craft and teaching everyone how to make pottery treasures you will love forever. My Saturday classes are now completely booked out. Only a couple of places are left in Friday evening commencing Friday 12th October from 6.30 - 8.30pm. 21.01.2022 Tomorrow Saturday 18th August I will be doing demonstrations of wheel pottery and talking to people about the start date for pottery classes. 20.01.2022 At Aussie Potz we start them young at the wheel. Young Tyler grew up around the clay and classes. Children absolutely love getting their hands into the clay and having fun. 18.01.2022 Soo excited!!! after 2 years and many trials and tribulations the kiln gods finally looked down on my kiln and helped it get to temperature. Many thanks to Greg Harwood from Harwood Plumbing awesome man lots of patience and assistance with this damn kiln and all the things that went wrong with it. It’s been a journey but with lots of patience not mention the teeth gnashing I DID IT!!

07.01.2022 My very first ever piece of pottery that I made circa sometime early 1982 was buried in my stash of collectables. This is a pinched form, I will try and find one of my earliest thrown pieces. They were pretty dreadful let me tell you.

Little did they know what they were creating! When they finished eating...... they threw their bowls on the fire. The art of ceramics was born in the dying embers of the flames.
