25.01.2022 It's on folks, today it was announced that dancing will be permitted at the Great Aussie Rock Afternoon event being held on Sat 28th November, at the iconic Grand View Hotel in Cleveland. This event is supporting Variety - the Children's Charity and an initiative from the generous folk at Team Aussie Rock...a group of volunteers who have raised over $385,000 since starting in 2009. We know our supporters have missed dancing to the great Aussie Rock and we have seen everyone ...sitting on their hands eager to strut their stuff to Aussie Pride at the shows we have performed...well now it's happening for real. This will be our first show since COVID started in March where you can dance to the music. So please make sure you ring the Grand View on 07 3884 3000 to reserve your seats/table now as this is going to be huge. We strongly recommend you put your name on the waitlist ....things are changing rapidly and sometimes people may not be able to make it after all...so if you are on the waitlist...the venue can contact you if seats become available. Don't miss out for this fantastic event raising funds for our kids in need. Look forward to seeing you on the dance floor! Aussie Aussie Aussie!

25.01.2022 For the first time in over 100 years, we will be unable to come together and pay our respects to those that laid down their lives to protect our freedoms. This event is a wonderful idea and something each and every one of us can participate in. Come on Aussies, get behind this and share around.

25.01.2022 Dont just let this happen once a year. Make sure we are checking in on each other regularly. Peace, Love & Rock n Roll

24.01.2022 HAVE YOUR SAY.... QLD we’ve done an amazing job to keep on top of the COVID thingy and we want to know your thoughts on whether it is time to bring back dancing!! (No brainer from our side) I was interested to see what the government’s position was / is on this point, so I visited the QLD Govt Coronavirus website.... Is it just me or is it a little weird that brothels, strip clubs and sex workers are good to go as long as they have a COVID safe plan. If maintaining 1.5m social distancing doesn’t present a significant challenge in this line of work, then I don’t know what would . Please leave a comment and add the hashtag #bringbackdancing at the end. Can’t wait to see you all on the dance floor again

22.01.2022 So like many Aussies, we at Aussie Pride love our sport. AFL, NRL and most other sports we have in our great country. What we are perplexed about however is how hotels, pubs, clubs etc. are only permitted small numbers of patrons, no dancing allowed, must be seated at all times and so on. But crowds at the footy dont seem to be subjected to the same rules?? Team scores a try or kick a goal, punters stand up beer in hand and celebrate (as you should) but I cannot understand ...how 1 group of humans attending a footy match are less likely to contract or spread COVID, than people going to a club, pub, hotel to stand and have a beer with their friends or listen to a live band. Leave a comment below.....wed love to hear your thoughts? PLEASE SHARE THIS POST FAR AND WIDE. We want to collate as many responses as possible. This needs to be elevated.

22.01.2022 Australian grown.....err watermelon? Must be one of those new hybrid varieties

21.01.2022 The last show at the Greenbank was an absolute cracker with a few records broken. What a night that was! And this Saturday night ...we're there to melt some faces and do it all over again! See you there.

21.01.2022 It's getting close folks! Thanks to everyone for the fantastic response to our first performance during COVID. Understandably with all the uncertainty surrounding COVID, we have had many messages asking if the show is definitely on. Well..the answer is a rocking and emphatic YES! One of Brisbane's premier purpose built live rock band venues, The Back Room (at The Chardon's Corner Hotel, 688 Ipswich Road, Annerley) will roll out its first live rock band event since COVID ...restrictions began with Aussie Pride on Sat 1st August from 6.30pm. (Doors open 6pm...food available on the night) But you'd better be quick. There are less than 20 tickets left and at $12.25 including booking fee, they won't last. For Aussie Pride, this show is a very symbolic show for us....there are some surprises in store and we are planning on videoing and recording the night. So if you are planning on being part of this special show, please secure your tickets now to avoid disappointment as they will sell. Tickets available only online at Oztix https://bit.ly/3iW8QMX Hope to see you there!

21.01.2022 Continuing the newbie song challenge, working on some concepts to add a bit Aussie Pride flavour to this classic song.

21.01.2022 Thanks everyone who came along last night to the Queensport Tavern #queensporttavern . It was hot n sweaty so we couldnt have done it without you.

21.01.2022 EVENT CANCELLED NOTIFICATION

20.01.2022 Ladies and Gentlemen...and now...the one, the only, Mr Trevor Cox channeling his inner fluoro self, performs live from his walk-in robe just for you. Here's Coxy's rendition of Baby Animals' "One Word" (following on from Foxy's challenge on our newer additions to our repertoire) and as we have just paid tribute to our ANZACs, his extended theme from the Dad's Army TV Theme! What's unique about this video, is its the first time we have had control of his volume :) Enjoy! Nice work Coxy! (Hint....view in landscape mode)

20.01.2022 Post one word that describes how you FEEL at an Aussie Pride gig. We’re really keen to know.

19.01.2022 Lest we forget

18.01.2022 Well it seems so long and yet only like yesterday. Aussie Pride's last live performance was on 7th March at the Greenbank RSL. Who would have thought only a few days later, the country would be in lock down from the coronavirus pandemic and the live music industry faced (and is still facing) one of its most challenging periods in history. Fortunately a brave soul with drink in one hand and iPhone in the other standing less than a metre in front of the PA speaker took some a...wesome raw rock footage for our Bootleg Moshpit Cam video....and as we are missing you guys so much, we have strung it together warts an' all as a tribute to our awesome supporters. This show was one of the most enjoyable shows we have ever done. A lot of familiar faces and a lot of love in the room. Enjoy, stay safe and hopefully we will see you soon! Peace and love! PS. If you missed our NYE show, a "SHANO-Cam" segment at the end! https://youtu.be/wFBLh-j6iZc

17.01.2022 Talk about perfect timing! If you are planning on attending the next show at the iconic Queensport Tavern for Aussie Pride on Sat 5th Dec, then we we can definitely confirm that you can dance to your heart's content on the night! This is our last show in Brisbane for 2020 and a great way to start your Christmas celebrations (and send a very much needed goodbye to 2020 LOL) so where better than the Queensport to rock 2020 out with a bang! Tickets are selling fast so get in qu...ick...even with the larger numbers now permitted than our last show (200), these tickets will go quickly. (See the link in the event on this page to purchase tickets). We can't wait to see you all on the dance floor again and look forward to seeing you not he night!

17.01.2022 Last tickets going fast!! The venue is capped at 200 punters and as of now there are only 27 tickets left. Don’t miss this one as we farewell 2020 with our last QPT gig for the year.

16.01.2022 Just when you thought it was safe....we're back and we are chomping at the bit to play our first show for 2020 at the "QPT". Our past shows at the QPT have been crackers with awesome audiences, and this one is shaping up to be bigger than Ben Hur. So grab your Rock Buddies and get on down to the QPT on Saturday, 15th Feb. Show starts at 7.30pm but get there early for a bite to eat in the Bistro before we raise the roof off with that classic Aussie Rock. AND....it's a Free Show

16.01.2022 *ANNOUNCEMENT - SHOW CANCELLED* Hi folks, for those of you who were planning to attend our show next Friday night the 7th Feb at Souths Sport Club, please be advised that the club has decided to cancel this event. If you had pre-purchased tickets, please contact the venue directly for a full refund. On behalf of the Aussie Pride Crew, we apologise for any inconvenience caused however this was out of our control. ... The great news is that we still have some smashing shows coming up so you can still "Get ya Aussie on!". For those that live close to this venue, Aussie Pride are performing on Sat 7th March at the Greenbank RSL and on Sat 15th Feb at Queensport Tavern. Both are FREE Shows. Hope to see you there. Peace, Love & Rock n Roll

16.01.2022 Hi Folks.....wee mathematical error in the original post. The pic said event finishes at 8.30pm but Aussie Pride finishes at 9pm....duh? Gates open at 5.30pm for other fun activities. Aussie Pride perform an action packed 1.5 hour set from 7.30pm to 9pm and then at 9pm is a mesmerising fireworks and laser show, A great way to celebrate for the whole family and if you have the energy you can still go party at midnight.... And yes....you can dance. See you there

14.01.2022 It seems like ages since we were rocking it out at one of our best gigs ever at the Greenbank RSL. What a difference a couple of weeks makes. We are just checking in to let all of our followers know we miss you to bits and we look forward to the first time we can see you all again and melt some faces. It's gonna be one helluva re-launch. Take care everyone and stay safe and know the band are missing you all like crazy and hope the day we can party together (safely and legally) is not too far away.

12.01.2022 We wanted to give a massive shout out to all who came along on Saturday night and rocked the Greenbank RSL with us. What a crowd, what a night. We would love to hear your feedback so please leave us a review (in the REVIEWS section of our FB page). We've already heard the awesome feedback from the venue and now we want yours! Thanks for coming and getting your Aussie On. Peace, Love & Rock n Roll The Aussie Pride Crew

11.01.2022 Merry Christmas

11.01.2022 NEWSFLASH: THE BACK ROOM SHOW NOT PROCEEDING Hi All We have just had word from the great folk at the Back Room, Chardons Corner Hotel, that the show on Sat night (1st August) will not be proceeding due to the recent announcement of updated COVID restrictions.... You may recall that recently, the QLD Government re-introduced the no standing while drinking restriction. Whilst the venue, along with other venues, do everything in their power to uphold compliance requirements for everyone's health and safety, the additional scrutiny of venues' compliance efforts is placing unnecessary risks for venues when often non-compliance is not of their doing. So for everyone's benefit, the venue felt it was better to hold the show at a future date (hopefully not too far off) when things are more stable and our supporters may be even able to strut their stuff on the dance floor once again. Aussie Pride support this decision and apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment. We hope you understand. Full refunds will be made for tickets purchased and we will announce when a replacement show date is known. (On that note...it may not be too long before you see Aussie Pride Live...stay tuned for another show in the planning)

11.01.2022 *FURTHER EVENTS CANCELLED* Family, Friends and Followers, as expected the introduction of further necessary restrictions relating to Coronavirus has led to the cancellation of additional shows. These are uncertain times and something that none of us have ever experienced before. Updates and decisions by the government are coming in almost daily. At this time, we wish to confirm the cancellation of the following scheduled Aussie Pride events:... 11 April Bribie Island Hotel 24 April Fitzys Loganholme 25 April Jindalee Hotel 16th May - Southport Sharks Whilst these cancellations are disappointing, Aussie Pride stands 100% behind any decision that has our community's health and well being at the top of their considerations. We'd like to thank everyone for their support of the Aussie Pride Band to date and wish you, your family and extended friends good health and a speedy resolution to the current situation. Take care folks and we look forward to rocking you again in the near future! Peace, Love & Rock n Roll The Aussie Pride Crew

10.01.2022 Hi all, There seems to be some confusion about whether our show at Kings Beach Tavern scheduled for this coming Saturday night is on or not. We were advised on the 14th June that this show had been cancelled and cancelled it on our page. Weve been made aware that the show is still showing on the Kings Beach Tavern FB page as still going ahead but this is not the case.... Sorry for any inconvenience folks.....wed love to be back rocking the stage again but not this weekend. Cheers The AP Crew

10.01.2022 Is it just us or are you missing going to see live music? Each day feels we are getting that little bit closer to rocking with the Aussie Pride family again. Keep staying safe everyone

10.01.2022 Good evening folks. Exciting announcement to come this evening so keep an eye on our page for details and get in quick! The AP Crew

09.01.2022 For all those who couldnt join us last night we did some live streaming on Instagram so click on the link and enjoy one of our new songs. Make sure you start following us on Instagram for news and updates. https://www.instagram.com/tv/CEeODu7D34v/

09.01.2022 Hi folks, unfortunately this show has fallen victim to COVID and has been cancelled.

08.01.2022 No Virus is going to lessen the eternal gratitude we hold in our hearts for our Australian Defence Force men and women. Although the current Coronavirus situation keeps us from coming together to honour our ANZAC legends, we invite you to show your support this ANZAC Day by lighting a candle and standing in your driveway in honour of those who fought and continue to fight for our most sacred way of life. On behalf of the Aussie Pride Crew, we thank you!... Peace, Love & Rock n Roll

07.01.2022 CAN YOU HELP! Hi folks, its been too long since weve seen you all and hoping that this Pandemic is over very soon so we can get back to doing what we all love. On another note, Im looking to try and help out a fella who lost everything this week in a house fire. He only just got out of hospital last week and then had this thrust upon him. Sadly they are not insured and are now in desperate need of the basics. Ive been able to provide a TV unit and an Outdoor Dining settin...g. They need a fridge, washing machine and anything else to help them get through this shitty time. I know there are a lot of people hurting right now but hoping we might be able to rally around a family who has some extra challenges to overcome. The family is located in Brisbane Western suburbs. Cheers Shano

07.01.2022 While many are reminiscing or ruminating in isolation Im putting out a challenge for the future. So to the other AP members lets all post us working on one of our newbies and when ready lets do a virtual jammo. What do you think

06.01.2022 Ok...a certain mischievous lead guitarist decided to challenge all band members to post evidence of them rehearsing a couple of new toons during the lockdown. As you can see...through rain, hail or shine...the show goes on as shown by our headless bass player (no the neck of the bass is not headless...he is). A couple of newbies we will be rolling out when we are back melting faces...plus for those that didn't get to our last show at the Greenbanks RSL, a small taste of Cold Hard Bitch which went down a treat on the night. Next band member up please.

06.01.2022 A message from Shano....

06.01.2022 This event has been cancelled due to "you know what". Stay safe peeps

05.01.2022 We are ready to Rawk

04.01.2022 Well folks here it is! The announcement you've been waiting for (and by some of the comments tonight's earlier post....demanding ha ha). It seems like eons ago and yet like only yesterday since we the roof was raised at the Greenbank RSL. That was a memorable and awesome night in....who would have thought it would have been the last for some time. We can now announce that Aussie Pride will be performing LIVE at The Back Room, a fantastic special purpose venue for live band...s, at the Chardon's Corner Hotel, 5A Cracknell Rd, Annerley on Sat 1st August (yes you read it correctly....in less than 3 weeks) We are stoked to be performing for the "Aussie Pride Family" again and we've missed you guys like crazy. BUT! You will need to be quick. Due to COVID, numbers are limited to 100 people. It is also a seated event (singalong and making as much noise as you can is unlimited and mandatory). For the safety of everyone attending, social distancing compliance will be required at all times (eg inside the room and in entry/exit to the event). Any other directions advised on the night should also be followed. We are sure you have seen the attention the media are attaching to events and we know our fantastic supporters will ensure The Back Room are rewarded with a gold star should it come under scrutiny. We would like to publicly thank and acknowledge some folk in the effort to make this show happen. Firstly the management of The Back Room (especially Hugh..thanks mate) have been fantastic in navigating all the approval and legal requirements to make this happen and are working hard to bring live music back to the public even in this situation we currently find ourselves in. To Matthew Cutlass and Wreckless Entertainment.....thanks mate for the continued support and for the great job in bringing all parties together for this one. (Many of you will know Matt who always provides awesome sound and lighting production at our shows.....the 7th member of Aussie Pride). Let's hope this is a start of better things to come for the entertainment industry who have been devastated by this pandemic. Now remember, get in quick...only 100 tickets available. Entry is ONLY available by buying tickets online through Oztix (link is on the event post). Unfortunately entry on the night at the door is not available so get in quick before they are gone. We look forward to melting some faces in two and half weeks! Show starts at 6.30pm, Doors open at 6pm.

04.01.2022 Hi Everyone, have just added the address onto the cover image for quick reference. It is included in the event location with directions if you need to know how to get there. Tickets are selling fast so get in quick before they sell out. Hope to see you at the Back Room, Chardon's Corner Hotel, Annerley.

04.01.2022 ONLY 6 MORE SLEEPS until this awesome event to support Variety - the Children's Charity...and until everyone can dance to the classic Australian Rock after a 9 month haitus due to COVID-19! We can't wait. However, we do have one important bit of information for anyone that has reserved their seats/table with the Grand View Hotel. Due to COVID, there are restrictions on numbers and currently most seats are allocated and we do have a number of supporters on waitlist. From ...Tuesday onwards, the Grand View will be tallying all seat numbers and making contact with those people on waitlist with confirmation on any seats that have become available. We do ask that if anyone has already booked a seat for the event with the Grand View Hotel, if for some reason, you cannot make it on the day, can you please please contact the Grand View staff at your earliest convenience by calling (07) 3884 3000 to let them know you will be unable to attend so they may re-allocate those seats to others wanting to attend the show. It is really important we maximise the seats. As entry is via a $10 donation which goes directly to the cause, any unused seat will result in less being raised for kids in need of such support. So we politely ask, if you are unable to attend after all, just to let the venue know at your earliest convenience. We can also confirm that EVERY confirmed spot is guaranteed access to a seat and table. Stay tuned for further information on some of the awesome prizes to be won at this event and we can't wait to see you all on the dance floor! Rock n Roll!!

02.01.2022 Some tasty classics from powderfinger to be played before tonights #onenightlonely gig

01.01.2022 It's about to happen folks. Our first show back since the start of COVID-19 at The Back Room, Chardon's Corner Hotel has approx only 6 tickets left and WILL sell out...so if you are thinking about coming or still counting numbers, better grab them quick as due to COVID, the venue has restricted capacity. For those already booked, it should be a great night. We have some awesome new toons we have been working on. As this is also a very symbolic show which will no doubt high...light that real Aussie spirit in the face of great challenge....it is planned to video and record the night. So bring along your singing voices and get your clapping hands ready ....we are so pumped for this. A bit of "housekeeping... recent announcements by the Qld Health Dept has confirmed that all patrons must be seated as soon as possible after purchasing drinks (or dining). This was always a "seated at table" show, but the new restrictions confirm that. When entering and exiting the premises we ask for everyone's help and co-operation in observing the required social distancing requirements and to follow any requests by management. As well as for our supporters health and well-being, a compliant show will ensure help venues deliver ongoing live music back to the public much quicker if we can all play our part. Thanks again and we look forward to seeing you there...doors open at 6pm for a 6.30pm start. Tickets available only online at Oztix https://bit.ly/3iW8QMX

01.01.2022 A lot can happen in a week during COVID. After the show last weekend was cancelled due to COVID, here comes a cracker! The Queensport Tavern (QPT to its loyal followers) are undergoing a major renovation of its famous beer garden and soon to commence some major roof renovations to make this an even better facility to bring you some of Brissy's awesome entertainers. We got the call from the QPT advising they wanted to do one last hurrah before they commence works and wanted... Aussie Pride to send them out with a cracking show. We couldn't be more stoked to melt some faces and see out the much loved current set up and therefore jumped at performing at the "Home of Aussie Pride". Most of you know what a great night it is at the QPT anyway, but with this special reason and the fact (let's face it) we all just want to show COVID can't take our rock music! It's going to be a great night. Due to COVID requirements to control numbers, it is a ticketed event. $10 for seat only, or buy 2 x tickets for $30 and get some great tucker included as a bonus. Details on the event post on this page and the QPT page. But get in quick, interest on this is already very strong. See you on the 29th!
