16.01.2022 The art of living: Many of you don't know I not only attend equine lameness/hoof/spine conferences like a junkie, but I also like to do personal development/s...elf help workshops so I can attempt to achieve my ridiculous goals as best as possible, and also minimise the inner self saboteur we all have hiding within, which disturbs our happiness and success. Last weekend I attended this workshop: http://www.artofliving.org/au-en/program/1798 and let me say holy smoke it has already had some very pleasant side effects!! I've had quite severe anxiety since the horrendous car accident 4 years ago, in which no-one knows how I survived. I've always practiced living in the moment, aka attempting to be as Zen as possible, but the breathing exercises taught in the art of living program give me not only instant relief but the effect lasts for hours. My overwhelm and anxiety is markedly reduced, and I've rapidly become addicted to the serene sense of calm induced by the exercises. Quite impressive, considering I still haven't sat down and done the exercises properly yet, I've just been doing a halfa job whilst doing something else, which is so not how they're meant to be done!! Anyhoo, it's not a con, and they cover a lot of material I've heard before in far more expensive workshops, and the breathing exercises are absolute gold. Highly recommended.
