25.01.2022 One of the best places to enjoy a sunset picnic is at Eneavour Park in Scarborough. Grab yourself the freshest fish n chips at Morgans Seafood and grab this spot for a magical sunset picnic. Very romantic.

22.01.2022 Just 90 mins south west of Brisbane is the rugged Mount Barney. There we have found Mt Barney Lodge on the foothills of the mountain offering a rough glamping experience in their camper tailers - $120 per night. Great view of Mt Barney, plenty of bush walks to secluded rock pools, waterfalls and lookouts. We had wallabies travel through out site in the early evening (we’re too slow to get the camera out in time) The only downer was parking 25m from the camper trailer and carrying heavy gear and your neighbors are very close. So many tracks to test your truck, and it is so much fun! $60 per vehicle includes 1 night stay. Toilets and hot showers in certain areas. Youll find it 2.5hrs north west of Brisbane. 14.01.2022 Another favourite 4X4 campsite by the beach is at #bundjalungnationalpark. approx 3.5hrs south of Brisbane City (just below Ballina) Great campsites surrounded by bush at each site, and it even has a clothes line and picnic table in each one! Total privacy and nestled behind the dunes. Just lovely

If you havent driven north or south west of Brisbane, and had a country holiday out there - youre really missing out! 05.01.2022 AIRBNB RECOMMENDATION: Mount Tambourine. We thoroughly enjoyed our little cosy cabin perched on the edge of Mount Tambourine (Link below) Cool temperate rainforest walks to see giant figs and waterfalls only a 15 min drive away. We shopped for delicious treats (and eaten wayyyy too much) and enjoyed visiting all the little shops along the Gallery Walk. ... If you’ve never been there before, you should definitely check out this little pocket of paradise in the mountains.

01.01.2022 We had a great holiday on Straddie. A few blue bottles and Salps (harmless round jelly things) lining the beach, rough sea and cloudy skies and sand in every crack and crevice. What an adventure! Merry Christmas fellow Aussie Trippers, hope youre enjoying your holiday too!
