24.01.2022 By far our favourite place

23.01.2022 The view from above. The cane farm we are staying on in Haughton. Doesn’t get much better in winter, than being up here in Queensland. Can you see the cane burn also

21.01.2022 Flights are booked for our boy to join us for the rest of our adventures! He’s been staying with friends on and off the last 12 months, while we sort our sh#t out, we can’t wait to have him here with us! We’re prepared for the challenges ahead and know there will be times that need preparation and time to plan certain outings but we won’t be short of recourses doing the things we want! Beautiful photos done by the amazing Heidi Lea Wedding Photography

20.01.2022 WE’RE HEADING TO MAGGIE ISLAND!! (Sorry for another family photo), yesterday we headed into Townsville to watch the Supercars. Walked in with smiles, left with tears so unfortunately no photos expect for these we decided to ditch dad and head to @chipmunksplayland instead. Also no photos of that either because I chucked the AirPods in and watched Netflix on my phone while the kids played - Anyways, (if you’re still reading this) hopefully we can get some beautiful footage of magnetic island!! Any must do’s while we’re there???

20.01.2022 Paronella Park~ 1.5hr south of Cairns, a beautiful place to park your van up for the night for FREE if you purchase tickets, which includes your day tour and night tour. Such a magical place for the family to explore! @ Paronella Park

19.01.2022 Davies Creek Falls.

17.01.2022 Two weekends in a row we’ve come up to the Paluma National Park. In love with the waterfalls here!

17.01.2022 This is where we have stopped to work on a sugar cane farm. We’re located 45 mins inland from Townsville in the Burdekin region. One of the only places that still burns their cane due to the irrigation, and this is what the call the Burdekin snow all the ash falling from the sky. It’s a complete new experience for us and we are loving it.

15.01.2022 One thing we’ve learnt while being on the road is plans don’t always go to plan! In the last 5 months we have reassessed sooo many times! When to leave, when to stop and work, locations PLUS more importantly where you will be at what time of year as especially NQLD is very seasonal. A lot of people have postponed their travels because of covid but this was absolutely not an option for us. Lockdown 1, weighed very heavy on our mental state and Victoria no longer served it’s pu...rpose for us. We have spent the last few months working while reassessing, our minds are always changing which is particularly stressful. We plan to leave Townsville and work our way back down the coast from December, very eager to go further North but we’re not sure if we’re prepared for a North QLD summer just yet! While our original plans were to leave Warrnambool and head clockwise for our lap and end up in south qld, this is very much not the case now - We’re still thinking of our friends, family and followers who are still back in Victoria! 15.01.2022 Great Barrier Reef... the girls were thrilled when we told them they were going to see the heart of the reef in real life! Our entire stay in Airlie, the girls spoke often of it so we decided to surprise them with a plane ride over it! A definite must do is to stop by Airlie beach and check out all the amazing things you can do! It’s a little pricey but worth every cent! Like I said- an absolute MUST

13.01.2022 Was so great to be able to meet and explore new places with these legends! Big Oz Explorers We’ve met the most amazing and humbling families on the road, we’re so blessed! The kids were lucky enough to be able to use other kids’ kayaks that a lady was so kind to offer! They had the best time! Paluma Range National Park

13.01.2022 As parents, we’re so happy to be travelling together with our girls.. super blessed #canoneos #canon #teewahbeach #qld #family #tawk #travellingaustraliawithkids #travellingaustralia #mazda #mazdabt50 @mazdaaus @mazdabt504x4 @ Teewah, Queensland

13.01.2022 MAGNETIC ISLAND There is so much free things to do on Maggie, and it’s been by far our favourite place we have visited! We swapped the van for a beautiful Villa with Callum’s beautiful grandparents who we hadn’t seen since end of May, which made it all the more special to us! You can find the Villa on AirBnB which resides on Serene Place in Nelly Bay which gives a beautiful Bali feel and it has a POOL! ~BIRD FEEDING was FREE and 4pm e...very day at Bungalow Bay, i would recommended a long sleeve or a towel while feeding. ~FEEDING ROCK WALLABIES the girls really enjoyed this as the wallabies are super gentle and friendly. The wallabies reside up in the rocks by Geoffrey bay and if you blink, you might miss the turn off! ~WWII BUNKERS this walk is most definitely a 2hour round trip but it holds so much history on the way. Absolutely wear walking shoes, a hat and plenty of water! There is a refill station a quarter of the way up and keep an eye out for Koalas! Getting to the top of the walk is so rewarding! ~PICNIC BAY beach was our fave, there’s even a nudist beach nearby but it’s a hike to climb down. You will find all the water sport attractions at Horseshoe Bay, however, we found Horseshoe Bay to be quite overrated We took our own car so the Ferry cost was $200. We stayed 4 nights which was sufficient but 4-7 nights would be perfect. *DOG OWNERS* Charley went to @townsvillepetresort just outside of Townsville. They even have a lagoon pool! Highly recommend their service @ Magnetic Island See more

09.01.2022 We’re lucky enough to be staying where Callum has been working during the crush season and we genuinely love being here. Secluded and so much wildlife! This river (channel) is actually filled via a pump station which is also home of many fresh water crocodiles! These rivers are used for flood irrigation for the sugar cane crops. The kids love walking down to the river.. Charley loves having a dip too

08.01.2022 Swapped the van for a bnb on Maggie Island! Callum’s nan and pop have come up to stay for a while so we decided on a little getaway for some exploring! We dropped Charley off at @townsvillepetresort for his own little holiday @ Magnetic Island

07.01.2022 Happiest of Father’s Day to this spunk of a dad! Absolutely love raising our girls with you, you’re their ray of sunshine and they just adore you xx Love you

01.01.2022 The Big Mango just outside of Bowen. We had to stop for a photo as it’s Belle’s favourite fruit! how cute is that little ant!
