25.01.2022 Austal Vietnam has successfully launched its first vessel - a 94 metre high-speed aluminium catamaran for the National Infrastructure Development Company Limited (NIDCo) of Trinidad and Tobago. The new vehicle-passenger ferry, A.P.T James, was constructed by the 450-strong Austal Vietnam workforce in Vung Tau, over the past 20 months. 23.01.2022 Thirty Austal Philippines trainees have today graduated from a comprehensive training course, regularly conducted by Austal Australia, to develop our international workforce in modern shipbuilding techniques. The trainees, from across Piping and Mechanical, Fabrication and Electrical departments, came to Australia earlier this year for a planned 3 month training program, but due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions, had an extended stay for approximately 6 months. 12.01.2022 Austal Limited (ASX:ASB) has announced record revenue and profit results for FY2020: - Revenue of $2.086 billion (FY2019: $1.851 billion), up 13%. - EBIT of $130.4 million (FY2019: $92.8 million), up 41%.... - NPAT of $89.0 million (FY2019: $61.4 million), up 45%. - Increased final dividend of 5 cents per share (unfranked), bringing total FY2020 dividends to 8 cents per share (unfranked) (FY2019: 6.0 cents per share, unfranked). - Good operations momentum into FY2021, with the business underpinned by multi-vessel defence programs and a secured order book of $4.3 billion running to FY2024. - Strong financial position enabling Austal to strategically position itself to capture future steel shipbuilding opportunities in USA and Australasia and continue to grow its support business. 02.01.2022 Austal Australia has been awarded a A$324 million contract to design and construct six #Cape-class Patrol Boats (CCPBs) for the Royal Australian Navy. It is the largest contract for an Australian vessel construction program ever awarded to Austal in the Companys 30+ year history. The six new vessels, to be constructed at Austals #Henderson shipyard in #WesternAustralia, will add to the RANs existing fleet of two CCPBs delivered in 2017 and further extends Austals #Cape-class Patrol Boat program to a total of 18 vessels.
