We hope that as the year progresses it may be possible to reschedule and we will keep you informed. From next week we will be sharing many of the wonderful stories from past performers about how their experience at the Australasian Ballet Challenge opened doors for them to further develop their skills in Australia and abroad.

13.01.2022 As we get closer to the 2020 Australasian Ballet Challenge we will be sharing stories of our Alumni and the amazing things they're doing! This week we are very excited to share the achievements of Lily and Georgia Folpp. Lily Folpp an alumni and finalist from our very first year has graduated from a 3 year degree program from Central School of Ballet in London in just 2 years, earning not only a Bachelor of Arts Foundation Degree but also a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree validated by the University of Kent UK. Her sister and also alumni, Georgia Folpp has just recently commenced a 3 year program in the UK and we have no doubt she will have the same amount of success as Lily. Congratulations Lily and Georgia. Keep living the dream!

09.01.2022 We are very excited to welcome dancers from across Australia to Wodonga next week for the 2020 Australasian Ballet Challenge!

09.01.2022 We are excited to announce that on the 16th of January at The Cube Wodonga our judges will be joining a host of internationally renowned dancers to present a gala performance. EQUILIBRIUM will feature classical and contemporary works that will inspire students, teachers and parents the day before the 2020 Australasian Ballet Challenge commences. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting performance.

03.01.2022 Some of you have been in touch with us about the impact of the bush fires on the ABC20. Indeed, many of our dance families have been affected and we extend our best wishes to those who have been directly impacted. At this stage we are confident that the event will go ahead as planned and hope that many of you will still be able to make it. We are continuing to monitor information from authorities, but Wodonga itself is not at risk. Like most places, there are some issues ...with smoke haze but this varies from day to day depending on the wind and does not impact on our indoor venues. If there is any change to this we will contact you directly! We are thrilled to announce that all profits from the Projection Dance Company performance "Equilibrium" will be donated to the Bush Fire Disaster appeal. This stunning contemporary dance program will feature a number of our international judge panel including James Pett and Travis Clausen-Knight who both dance with Company Wayne McGregor. 02.01.2022 The amazing announcements continue... We are thrilled to announce that James Pett will be joining the 2020 Australasian Ballet Challenge Jury. Immediately after graduating, with a BA (Hons) Contemporary Dance from Trinity Laban, James joined the Richard Alston Dance Company, first as an apprentice and then as a company member. During this time, he worked with Robert Cohan on numerous works and with Jeannie Steele on a collective of Cunningham's works. James joined Company Way...ne McGregor in 2013 touring the world performing Wayne's acclaimed choreographies. In 2017 James began working with Australian choreographer Tim Podesta with premieres in Australia and the UK. James is a creative force in his own right with his most recent creation premiering to much acclaim for Bangkok City Ballet. We are very excited to welcome James back to Australia in 2020. See more
