15.01.2022 Thanks to all those who attended the Adhoc shooting day with ACA QLD members on Sunday at the Rothwell Professional Indoor Industry Pistol Club (RPIIPC) on the North side of Brisbane. It was a great day with some surprisingly good shooting from family members, some who had never fired a pistol before! I'd also like to thank Don from the Rothwell Professional Indoor Industry Pistol Club (RPIIPC) for allowing us in on a Sunday and ensuring everything ran smoothly. ... Also, the help of his son who ran the administration on the day and would hold his own against a section/ team 2nd in Commd (2IC). It was a bit close to call for an overall winner/ best shot on the day and so in keeping with this year's theme of a simplified event, I'll simply name some of the stand out shooters; Rick Grace - RLI. The ex-Rhodesian Commandos always turn up and do well whenever there's shooting involved... Danny O'Kearney - SAS. First time Danny and his wife have come along to one of our shoots. Wayne & Anna Douglas - SAS & CDOs. Anna is shooting for the Commandos next year by the way! Jeff Hicks - Commandos. Out of the blue and handicapped with an arm injury, still did us proud. Note that there was a mixture of .22 cal and 9mm fired and so I've just gone on results not calibre. Mind you I would've done a lot better with a .22, just saying... We'll run another shoot next year and with restrictions permitting, open it up again to several different classes of firearms and more 'friendly competition' & awards. Stand by for a heads up on our 2020 Xmas gathering. Cheers to all. Mark Social Member ACA QLD. C4L
