21.01.2022 It’s only been eleven years that I have been meaning to clean up the engine bay like I did on my 1800 sedan that I wish I never sold but hey that’s long gone ne...ver find another with 18k on the clock that good. Anyhow staying home weekends and not drinking since Christmas and heart surgery I’ve been playing with the ute and getting it ready to register and enjoy. I tried to register it down in Goulburn but they didn’t like the collapsed seat so it’s sat for a while. I have Darren Thompson who trimmed my black panel van and did the rubber mat in the ute on the 08/09/09 doing the seat now so Brian Heaton I’ll be sending paperwork shortly. I will update this post when the interior goes back in. Hope you enjoy the post. Trying to be an active member from a distance and will bring the ute on a run after COVID. Stay well and safe. 20.01.2022 Finally ready for the road. Its been 9 years since I purchased this. After losing a year to build a shed to put it in and another year being stuffed about by a painter I'm calling this a 7 year restoration. Tony Groom

19.01.2022 9:07 PM Peter A Jones Peter A Jones Greetings from an old member now in Qld. We joined very early in the club's history and held a few committee positions.... We only left after moving to Qld, we are hoping to attend the AOA in 2021. Many long term members may remember my 1800 which after owning since 1973 now needs some minor restoration which I hope to have completed by AOA, if not I could always bring my restored 1964 Rover P5. Thanks and cheers peter See more

14.01.2022 Well again another job that’s taken 11 years, the rub rails on the ute were sun bleached and had no grain anymore and were grey. Only in the odd spot you could ...see the old high gloss finish. I sanded and lacquered them badly only to discover one side was a ring in done at some time. Two carpenter/joiners and 24 weeks later I have new ones in European Beech. Hope to be at Picton. See more
