We take on people from outside of the industry and train them through our 'level system' with the goal of creating awesome truck electricians. 18.01.2022 It’s not everyday you see a resistor grid failure you can fit your hand through! We recently assisted in performing a root cause analysis (RCA) on this site to prevent future failures. It appeared that the fault originated with a crack at a bend in the resistive material, due to the vintage of the grid. ... The bending process has been modified in later versions to help reduce the likelihood of this failure mode recurring. See more

18.01.2022 It always pays to keep your eyes open While working on an unrelated problem, one of our electrical specialists noticed a hole blown in the resistor on a DC filter panel. The filter panel plays a critical role in removing commutation spikes from the DC voltage - if this had let go at the wrong time damage would likely be $100k+ ... 05.01.2022 Unfortunately, it's quite common that standard original equipment manufacturer (OEM) equipment fails to meet the Australian safety standards. Here is an example of a standard cover that does not meet the minimum IP2X ingress protection detailed in AS/NZS 3000, that was found during an audit on a fleet received by one of our customers. This means someone could unknowingly come into contact with high voltage ...
