17.01.2022 Another good article in today’s Illawarra Mercury We are extremely humbled by the support of the the community in supporting our push for the relocation of the station. It’s been a long haul so far and it’s still going to be hard work in the future.... #teamausti

12.01.2022 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family. While a happy and joyful time for most, we know that this time of year can also be difficult for those that have suffered loss, family separation or other struggles, and we keep you all in our thoughts. As 2020 comes to a rapid end everyone at #teamausti thanks you our supporters for everything that you have done throughout the year. We are extremely proud that #teamausti has a long-standing reputation for delivering... to the community in which we live and operate. This is only possible through the efforts of our hard-working and committed members and the support of our community. This year has been the one of the biggest in our history with the brigade committing to out of area fires, storm damage and hazard reduction plus our own day to day brigade activity. We hope you enjoy a happy, safe, relaxing and well-deserved break and we look forward to seeing you back in early 2021. Let’s hope Santa delivers good news about land for a new fire station.
07.01.2022 In a continuously changing environment, the NSWRFS have reinstated measures to help ensure that we can keep providing our community with the best emergency service we can give. Our priorities are to; 1. Keep our brigade operational so we can continue to provide the best emergency response that we can to our community.... 2. Keep our members, their families and the most vulnerable people in our communities safe. What will this mean? * You won't find us as normal at the station on Saturdays. * We are unfortunately unable to have any non member, family or otherwise in our facility. * We are suspending all non essential activities. * We will not be processing new member applications until further notice. We ask that you join us and remain vigilant with implementing standard COVID safety protocols to keep loved ones and the greater community safe. #teamausti #COVID19sucks #staystrong #stayathome
