11.01.2022 Flew from Leh to Delhi. Flying to and from Leh is always interesting as there is a passage through tall mountains that the pilot needs to negotiate. It was a cl...ear day and I was lucky enough to have a window seat and look over the mountains that give the 'land of passes' (Ladakh) it's name. While looking forward to some warmer weather, as we've been camping in -8 to - 25 degrees centigrade - we will really miss the high mountain ranges. The last day of the trek we walked to 4400 metres and had breathtaking views of the mountains. Absolutely freezing though so we had to come down 300 metres to a small sheltered plateau to get out of the wind. Lovely people and environment and definitely a trip I'll treasure forever.
