13.01.2022 Cumberland Bird Observers Club (CBOC) is a Sydney based club working to encourage knowledge and enjoyment of native birds, and actively promote the protection and conservation of native birds and their habitat. The Club holds monthly meetings in north-west Sydney and leads several outings each month in the Greater Sydney area. Other activities include native bird surveys and leading community bird walks. The Club's activities are listed on the website cboc.org.au and on it's facebook page.

The Avian & Exotics Department is open from 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday and staffed by Avian Specialist and Exotic Veterinarian Dr Melinda Cowan. Every species requires different housing, dietary and medical requirements, which can be very different from cats and dogs. Want to be part of a beautiful exhibition and support BirdLife Australia: http://birdfair.com.au/photographic-competition/ We are very excited to have award winning photographer Georgina Stytler as one of our judges.... Georgina is a writer, conservationist, wildlife carer and nature photographer who has been involved with BirdLife Australia since 2008. She is a volunteer member of the BirdLife Western Australia’s Community Education Committee and was the Photo Competition Co-coordinator for BirdLife Photography, which is a Special Interest Group of Birdlife Australia. Georgina has won many prestigious photography competitions including being a category winner and/or finalist for the last 4 years in the Australian Geographic (ANZANG) Nature Photographer of the Year and a category winner/finalist in the 2017 Bird Photographer of the year (UK). Georgina has given several talks on the art of bird photography and in 2016 was a member of the judging panel for the Ecological Society of Australia photography competition.
