With Australia Day right around the corner, we should ask ourselves this important question (and enjoy a relaxing day off with family and friends of course!) How about giving back to our fair go society that we’re so lucky to be a part of? Help recognis...e those who’ve given back to the community by putting in a nomination for the 2018 Australian of the Year Awards at www.australianoftheyear.org.au or consider nominating a local for the Bonner Volunteer Awards (see below). Is it all about showcasing your Aussie pride? Don’t forget my office has handheld and full-size Australian flags available for free for any Bonner resident or community organisation to use. To me, Australia Day is an opportunity to reflect on our good fortunes and just how much our communities matter.
