13.01.2022 Jap Priests Recall PoW Camp Horror - 18th January 1965 Settled peacefully in a typical Australian landscape, the town of Cowra in south-western New South Wales.... Today, there are only a few silent reminders of Cowra's role in World War II. Well remembered by hundreds of AIF men who trained here for service overseas, but perhaps more notorious as the site of a Japanese Prisoner of War Camp. And the last resting place for 234 men of Nippon. The barbed wire and barrack buildings has long since gone, but on this spot and almost successful bid for freedom. In a frenzied Banzai charge against their guards, nearly half their number was killed outright, and over a hundred more wounded. Four Australians died in the brief, bitter encounter. The few Japanese who did escape were quickly rounded up and returned to custody. The revolt had failed, and the cost left a bloody mark in the record of war. More than twenty years have passed and today a memorial service to the Japanese buried in the special cemetery. Buddist Priests from Japan lead Shinto prayers and anoint each headstone with holy water. Memories in a quiet Australian countryside. See more

01.01.2022 South Africa! We have been contacted recently to be involved in the training of mounted anti-poaching units in South Africa. We will also be looking at helping... supply saddlery for these units which protects Rhino's on behalf of Care for Wild. We are looking forward to working with Recon Recovery on this project. We will hopefully deployed members to South Africa to play a hands on role later this year! We would once again be following in the foot prints of our ancestors who travelled to South Africa during the Boer War.
