21.01.2022 The Australian Government is working together with our partners in the Pacific and Southeast Asia to ensure access to safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines. Ou...r region needs access to safe and effective COVID-19 vaccines. We will work in partnership with our neighbours to achieve that together, including through a range of advance purchase agreements with manufacturers as well as through participation in the multilateral COVAX Facility. Today, the Australian Government is committing an additional $500 million over three years towards this regional effort on top of the $23.2 million committed in the Budget. This funding will make a significant contribution to the immunisation needs of our region, as we work together with our neighbours to emerge stronger on the other side.
