23.01.2022 Did you know that this year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Shinju Matsuri Festival in Broome?!? The annual Shinju Matsuri (Japanese for Festival of the Pearl) originated from three cultural festivals Japanese Obon Matsuri, Malaysian Hari Merdeka, Independence Day from British rule in 1957, and the Chinese Hang Seng. The festival kicks off on the 29th of August and runs until the 6th of September. You can find more details on the program and festival by visiting the official website below!
