07.01.2022 Dear Fellow Malaysians, Trust you are well. As you are aware, the Consulate of Malaysia in Sydney currently does not provide Malaysian passport issuance and renewal services. In order to renew their Malaysian passports, Malaysians in Sydney and across NSW are required to travel to the High Commission of Malaysia located in Canberra.... With that in mind, the Australia Malaysia Business Council NSW & ACT ("AMBC") and the Australian Malaysian Singaporean Association ("AMSA") have jointly organised a petition to kindly request the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Malaysia and the Ministry of Home Affairs of Malaysia to provide Malaysian Passport issuance and renewal services at the Consulate of Malaysia in Sydney. 06.01.2022 Malaysia Australia Business Council in partnerships with our Partner in Progress, Malaysia Airlines organized a webinar on Travel in the Time of COVID-19 yester...day. The webinar was also attended by members of the Malaysia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce and Australia Malaysia Business Council NSW ACT. Following up from our last week’s successful #webinar on Malaysia Entry and Exit Requirements, this follow-up webinar also attracted quite an interest from the 3 business chambers. We had speakers from both Malaysia Airlines and Malaysia Airports providing updates on how the aviation industry is responding to the pandemic, the various enhanced protective measures adopted by Malaysia Airlines during pre-departure and arrival, flight schedules as well as how the airport is adapting to the new norm. Short informative videos were also played to illustrate the situation better, to the delight of the participants.
