09.01.2022 Wonderful to see this article about PNG alumna Dawaleia Norris (M Environmental Health, 2019). "Health is everyone's business" Only just returned to Milne Bay, Dawaleia has been thrown in the deep end of the Covid19 pandemic as a team leader for quarantine services in the Provincial Health Authority. Some very valuable lessons in this article - AA@FU particularly likes the holistic approach "There are many forms and ways of support and help that must be provided for communities (...) Identify these needs for those on the frontline as well as those who will be inequitably disadvantaged during these times, and do whatever you can to support them." #FlindersFamily #AustraliaAwards

Hadi from Palestine says "Here are some pictures and a video of the birds which i saw couple of days back when i was crossing the bridge towards the uni. It was beautiful to start your day by spending some time watching those birds." For those of you who are new to Australian birds, the white ones are sulphur-crested cockatoos (who can be REALLY loud) and the black ones are yellow-tailed black cockatoos.

02.01.2022 #worldteachersday2020 is celebrated in Australia - today! Here's a great story about our Australia Awards alumna Nurunnahar Nupur (, M Education (Special Education, 2019) who has been working tirelessly to minimise the impact of Covid19 on the learning of children with special needs.
