09.01.2022 Meet the 2021 Queensland Australian of the Year recipients! 2021 Queensland Australian of the Year Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM A spinal cord injury at C6/7 following a motor vehicle accident has given Dinesh a longstanding passion and interest in spinal cord injury research. He earned a Bachelor of Laws, prior to completing his Doctor of Medicine at Griffith University and has recently been admitted as a lawyer. Despite facing numerous barriers, Dinesh became the first quadripl...egic medical graduate and medical intern in Queensland. He has been an advocate for inclusivity in medical education and employment and is one of four founding members of Doctors with Disabilities Australia. #AusoftheYear @AustralianoftheYear
