For Australia, enhancing gender equality, including ending gender-based violence, is a priority domestically and internationally. Captain Reginald Saunders was an inspiring soldier, veteran and champion for Indigenous equality. He fought in North Africa, the Mediterranean and New Guinea during the Second World War.
