The device is being prepared for world-first human clinical trials in Melbourne. Researchers have developed miniaturised, wireless electronic implants that sit on the surface of the brain. These implants have the capacity to restore vision through bypassing damaged optic nerves. @MonashMNHS @monash_mnhs https://www.monash.edu//opening-eyes-to-a-frontier-in-visi See more

03.01.2022 - . . ... . . . . #__ World Teachers’ Day, 5 October Globally, 63 million primary and secondary teachers have seen their schools close due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This unprecedented event has meant teachers have quickly adapted to distance and online learning, to ensure their students don’t fall behind. In Australia, moving to online learning isn’t a huge technological leap, but teachers have had to adapt their teaching and learning practices a lot. In many of Australia’s neighbouring countries, vast geography and limited resources have made a move to online learning almost impossible. So teachers have been very creative with ‘no tech’ and low tech solutions. On World Teachers’ Day, and every day, we thank teachers for their tireless efforts to keep all children educated. #Australiainiran
01.01.2022 . . . . . Australia's First Peop...les have been living on the Australian continent for at least 60,000 years. They are the world’s oldest surviving culture. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australia is made up of many different and distinct groups, each with their own culture, customs, language and lore. Indigenous Australians are the authors of the world’s oldest oral histories, and engraved the world’s first maps. This Map of Indigenous Australia attempts to represent the language, social or nation groups of Aboriginal Australia. #NAIDOCWeek #AlwaysWasAlwaysWillBe
