13.01.2022 "Amazing. Inspiring. Emotional" Salisbury Cathedral has been hosting a unique event as students from Exeter House Special School sing alongside Salisbury Cathed...ral School, performing work they've created together. The project, run by music charity La Folia Music aims to give new experiences to all the young people involved. The songs are inspired by the traditional Evensong service, which takes place in the cathedral every day. For the first time in hundreds of years permission was granted to change it #EveningSongs See more

02.01.2022 Covid-19 has upset our plans for gatherings in 2020. We made a good start with Paul Turner in March where a good number of the members and guests sat down with Paul and engaged in a wide ranging discussion. We had to cancel a proposed visit to two churches on the Central Coast in... May and likewise a gathering with Fr Mark Francis that was planned for July. Fortunately many of our members participated in a Zoom presentation with Mark on Monday 20th July hosted by the ACU Centre for Liturgy. We have a couple of presentations planned for September and November and perhaps we can utilise Zoom or something similar to still go ahead with our plans. More information to follow. The National Council of AAL have asked for your thoughts on liturgy and the pandemic which may be included in the next issue of the Journal. Please feel encouraged to type up about 200 words and email them to me over the next week, and I'll forward them on to the AJL editor. Please keep in touch! Although we can't meet in person, maybe this is an opportunity for more members to contribute to the discussion and your reflections on liturgy. Please contact me if you have any questions, comments or suggestions.
