25.01.2022 Its always nice to see your name in major the movies on Netflix
25.01.2022 Anyone needing some data processing undertaken on on a do and charge casual basis then hit me up. I use all of the major software like Metashape Pro, Pix4d, 3DF Zyper and Context Capture. Depending on your requirements we can chose the best software for the job.... The images shows some of our work and the accuracy within the report.
24.01.2022 Now have to put in a dedicated power circuit to run the PC as it occasionally trips the circuit breaker.
24.01.2022 Been flying from 8.30pm till 5am looking for sea eagles with drone thermal imaging
24.01.2022 Done some post processing from a drone photography data set that had been sent over from the US. Its all about the step driveway
23.01.2022 Australian Aerial Imagery Pty is among a very few commercial drone operators to be fully licensed to undertake drone aerial application within NSW being Chem Cert trained and licenced by the NSW EPA. In fact we are also fully licensed by the ACT EPA and the QLD Goverment to undertake drone Aerial Applications of herbicides, pesticides and biological matter. This means since 2018 we have had the capability to undertake drone spray and solid dispencing material from a drone from far north Queensland all the way down the the NSW / VIC border including the ACT.
23.01.2022 AAI surveyed and post-processed the images for two sites in the past week using a P4RTK on the AUSCORS network. In total there was 5,460 images processed for the clients.
22.01.2022 3D mapping with accuracy of better than 3.5cm.
20.01.2022 One of our 3D modelling projects. This is a roof model however the entire building has come up fairly well. If we can help anyone out with the 3D modelling work then hit us up.
19.01.2022 We had the pleasure of undertaking this large 3D modelling job of the entire building with the main area of interest being the huge roof areas. This is only the sparse cloud to create a 2D ortho from after a little more post-processing in Pix4D however the sparse cloud looks great so the results should be at a very high standard. After this we will be importing all 1,880 images into Context Capture to create a high detail 3D model for our client. These images shown are just the vertical straight down images. We will be adding 55 degree images plus images of the building vertical faces to produce the Context Capture 3D model.
18.01.2022 This is how we generally produce our survey grade mapping of contour lines in-house. Nothing has been done over the cloud. Images are indicating 1m contour lines.
18.01.2022 We know are using all of the major photogrammetry software such as ContextCapture, Pix4dMapping, 3DF Aerial and Metashape Pro. This software is all stand alone perpetual licenses and we are ready to take on data processing of other drone operators or business. Contact us for additional information.
17.01.2022 Been working on a contour line survey to produce 1m contour lines. All of the trees and buildings had to be removed to allow for accurate contour lines to be produced. The Green is the area what was kept and all the rest was disregarded. This whole process was done manually in-house.
16.01.2022 It was planned to take 5min to fit the new ram. Had to take out some of the water cooling to install the memory and it just fitted in.
14.01.2022 A little warmer than I would have liked to do thermal imaging but we had some great results.
14.01.2022 Our in-house data capturing and image processing compares very favourably to LIDAR systems. LIDAR has its uses however for the majority of the jobs photogrammetry is the correct tool to use. This is a Ultra High dense cloud that accurate measurements, slopes and volumes can be taken from the mesh. All data has been processed in house with a turn around time of 12 hours.
13.01.2022 Been busy lately and with the high temperatures the Ipad has been shutting down. So been doing some R&D in the heat.
13.01.2022 This is how we process point clouds to remove the trees and grass tussocks all the way done to the ground in a complex terrain, so that contour maps and digital elevation models can be produced in a bare earth format. The red area indicates the vegetation that will be removed.
12.01.2022 I had a phone call this afternoon from a drone operator wanting some post processing undertaken on a data set consisting of 668 images with 6 GCP to be used as check points. The person wanted Contours, DSM and Ortho in their specified file formats. I gave them a price well below $500.00. Then they said: why so expensive? All you have to do is press a few buttons!... I said: I took me 18 months of long hours during the day and night to learn how to press them buttons. So that I can press them buttons I had to spend $7,500 on a computer powerful enough to do the work. For that computer to work when I press them buttons, the PC requires software. Metashape Pro @ $5,200 and 3DF Zeypher Aerial @ $6,200. And finally I have my time that would take all day to supply you with what is required. Then they just hung up. I guess they went to try to push there own buttons....
11.01.2022 Drone Survey Grade Mapping and Data Processing. Below are screen shots from a recent project and is a good example of our ground classification for removing tress, building, machinery, vehicles and even grass tussocks. The pink area in the image is the area bare earth area that was kept and the natural coloured areas in the same image have been removed in our ground classification process. There are 2,435 drone images within this data set and the images have been captured wit...h a P4RTK setup. The survey consists of 113 Ha (280 acres) and is a housing development site in SW Sydney. We have achieved a ground sampling distance of 2.28cm / pixel over the entire site. This has been achieved by contour flying the drone at a set height above the terrain. The accuracy the survey ranges from 0.000m to 0.043m in the X and Y axis and 0.017m to 0.047m in the Z axis. (Checked against ground control points) If we can assist anyone with there drone survey site work in either capturing the data or post-processing their images then please feel free to reach out. We would love to help out with good rates and fast turn around times.
10.01.2022 This data set has been processed by us for another drone operator. Illustrated is a point cloud that shows the detail that we are able to produce for our clients. We have processed 1,187 images add manually added 23 tie points to achieve these results.
10.01.2022 Some of our in-house processing of RTK drone data / images.
10.01.2022 Need drone data processed. Contact us 0457 777 037Need drone data processed. Contact us 0457 777 037
10.01.2022 The great thing about being a full time drone operator is capturing the images then tuning that data into something very useful for your clients. This is not your basic stockpile volume calculation but a more complex calculation sine the calculation required is cut into existing fill. This is a ramp used to get heavy machinery to the lower sections of the site.
10.01.2022 The image below contains 0.5m contour lines in both red and white line colours. All images used for the generation of the contour lines have been captured with a P4 RTK drone and 7 Ground Control Points (GCP) had been surveyed out. NTRIP had been used Out of the 7 GCPs, 3 have been used as Check Points (CP).... The white contour lines have been processed in Metashape Pro while the red have been processed in Pix4d. Its great to see that both software used created an identical set of data however the Pix4d contour lines are smoothed out slightly but this is what 90% of our clients prefer. When the accuracy was compared to the 3 check points we were under 1cm in the x and y axis and under 1.5cm in the z axis.
08.01.2022 Our new 3D Survey software. Just testing a few things out. Looking good...
08.01.2022 We had recently been commissioned to try to locate a sea eagles nest within 180Ha of terrain that included Blackbutt, Blue Gum, Paperbark and swamp forests. To many this project was near imposable and was likened to Finding a Needle in a Hay Stack. For this project we used a DJI M210 RTK drone equipped with a 640 x 512 thermal imaging camera. The work commenced at 10pm and we located the eagles nest within 4 hours. In total we spent 4 nights in the field looking for additional sea eagle nest but no more had been located. This was a great result as only one pair of sea eagles had been seen within the survey area.
07.01.2022 A different view and perspective form our recent mapping project with survey graded accuracy. https://youtu.be/lIHm9FK9twQ
07.01.2022 Newly revised Restricted Area for Airspace R405 A and B within Sydney Harbour and surrounding areas.
05.01.2022 We are starting to get some great results with our new mapping software. The red contours have been processed within Metashape Pro and have been confirmed accurate by a licensed surveyor when compared to the traditional surveying methods. The green contours have been produced with our new mapping software and has been laid over the top for a comparison.... The results are excellent seeing the green contours we used the ausgeoid09 and the green contours we did not. (At present we can not import the ausgeoid09 file into the software due to the incorrect file format)
05.01.2022 A flood model that indicates possible flooding along a NSW river flat
04.01.2022 Not that its going to happen anytime soon but we have been undertaking some flood modeling along NSW river flats. The second images illustrates the areas above the flood levels.
04.01.2022 Some new ram for one of our map processing computers.
03.01.2022 Just completed one of our most complex excavation surveys. This one was not straight forward due the form work constructed over the entire first floor level of the pit. The green flat layer is the form work and the blue flat layer is the ground level below. 16 pages to this report in total.
03.01.2022 This particular project has been processed by us for a Sydney based drone operator. We did not capture the images for this particular project however we have undertaken all of the post processing of the images. https://youtu.be/JuZI3jI-88E
02.01.2022 Asides from doing our regular drone work in 2020 we will be expanding on our post processing of drone photography data sets of others out there in the industry. Unlike the four major online businesses that undertake this type of work we will be providing specialized a one on one service to meet your requirement so that we can supply you with exactly what you require in the way of your deliverable end product. If you require trees to be removed, smoothed out contours, different colour palettes or anything else then just let me know. If we can not produce what you require then you wont be charged and we have the capability of processing hundreds to tens of thousands of images. Doesnt get much better than that.
02.01.2022 Just have to make sure......
