18.01.2022 The next meeting for the Western District Ayrshire Cattle Club is being held on Wednesday the 28th of September in Cobden. The day is planned (weather pending) to have a herd walk commencing at 10:30am and then return to the residence for a BBQ (meat/coffee/tea provided) for the general meeting with the main topic the upcoming On-Farm challenge. Please RSVP via private message for address details. Hope all current and interested people can attend for a short but important meeting.

05.01.2022 The Victorian Ayrshire committees AGM well be held on the 18th of November 11am at the Melbourne show grounds there has been an information package sent out by mail which should arrive very soon. If anybody would like any more details please or is interested in attending please get in contact with Mike Perry 0457951700 So that we can finalise numbers with the venue

02.01.2022 How can the general public help?? There is a call to action planned for the 25th May on the steps of Parliament House to bring as many farmers - industry service providers and the general public together as possible. The only way we can all achieve what we need is sheer weight of numbers. The reason behind this is to achieve recognition from government and a way forward for dairying to be fair. The dairy industry has been rocked by the actions of 2 major dairy companies and... the flow on effect from their decisions is catastrophic! The 'claw back' is completely unfair and needs to be stopped! We need the possibility of a floor in the milk price. This is what people are aiming to achieve from the call of action on the 25th. So farmers, industry service providers and anyone that cares where your products come from or want to meet with farmers and learn, come and support us and as one we can achieve a future.
