21.01.2022 SOLUTION: Building knowledge and skills at all levels ACTIONS: ABA does this very well, with the Health Professional Seminars and Breastfeeding Research. On a local level, Murray Group have helped provide funding to increase access to health professional education and purchase copies of Breastfeeding Management in Australia (5th Ed) for our local hospitals who will use it with current staff and students across medical, allied health and nursing training programs.

20.01.2022 What you see here is a little collection of some our hospital grade breast pumps. Today one of our volunteer families did a 7hour road trip to move some of our less used pumps to high demand areas and by tomorrow most of theses pumps will be in homes of families across our region. Hire of pumps is just one of our services. We hope that it enables more families to establish breastfeeding, continue to breastfeed or to support their babies to receive breastmilk when they cant ...feed direct from Mum. https://www.breastfeeding.asn.au/view/hire-breast-pump

15.01.2022 So, some more on #WBW2020. How are Breastfeeding and the health of our planet linked? This infographic explains in some detail.... In Australia, we have recently experienced some catastrophic bushfires, the effects of which highlighted the challenges of keeping babies well fed and cared for, particularly when they werent being breastfed. By supporting breastfeeding at all levels we hope to protect young babies in times of such disasters and emergencies and also, reduce the likelihood of these events occurring by slowing environmental degradation.
