23.01.2022 Dance Masters International Association - DMIA Congress 2020 The Similarities topic at DMIA Congress should be interesting. This topic is group involvement to identify a transparent criterion between competitors and adjudicators; both competitors and adjudicators are required to make certain qualities transparent in their performances or assessment. Many competitors complain this adjudicator or that adjudicator do not mark them well, this is an age-old complaint worldwide.... Adjudicators comment, couples are not providing a clear picture of fundamental elements to a quality require for a particular level of competition. It seems both, competitor and adjudicator share the same problem. The Similarities topic will provide some clarity as to the quality's a competitor needs to portray in their performance and an insight to what an adjudicator is looking for. This open discussion will provide a transparency for both parties; competitors and adjudicators. Dance Masters International Association (DMIA) sharing the knowledge at Congress 2020.

19.01.2022 LIVELIGHTER ADB WA 5 STAR SERIES EVENTS Press release It has been a very difficult year for all sporting organisations, but for the ballroom dancing industry it has been extra difficult due to the close and personal proximity required for our dance industry. ... Now that the LIVELIGHTER ADB WA 5 STAR SERIES has come to an end for 2020, the ADB WA board on behalf the members and WA dance community would like to thank our naming sponsor/partner Healthway and LiveLighter for their fantastic help and support throughout this difficult year . WE survived and managed to promote four (4) of the series events! ALL four events were well supported and successful producing some 750 competitor entries over the four LIVELIGHTER ADB WA 5 STAR Series events. To support, promote and service our sponsors, Healthway, LiveLighter, Jarrahdale Heating & Cooling, Freo Group of Companies and ADB member teaching facilities during the closure of non essential activities due to Covid -19 pandemic; ADB produced the Virtual Dance Event and developed the ADB DanceFit dance and exercise program and platform, these new events replace the cancelled events and promoted Healthway and Livelighter message and allowed people to continue dancing during lock-down and isolation.
