17.01.2022 As most of you would be aware I have been putting together a raffle with the proceeds going to the Australian Deer Association's Geoff Moore Fund. I wanted to k...eep the tickets affordable (especially given the current predicament many of us are facing) but still raise some valuable funds for a great cause. The Geoff Moore fund is named after our late Life Member and tireless champion of the deer and deer hunting. Every dollar contributed to the fund goes straight to our ongoing political fight. Tickets can be purchased directly from the store - All tickets will be added to a random generator and I will draw it live on Facebook on the 9th November at 9pm. You can u...pdate your residential address on your Game Licence on our website at: https://www.gma.vic.gov.au/licencing/change-of-address You can also call our Customer Contact Centre on 136-186. We will send you an updated licence, free of charge. In recognition of the unprecedented impact on Victoria’s game hunters this year, the expiry date of all Game Licences that were valid as of 30 June 2020, will be extended by 12 months, allowing hunters to get full value of their one-or three-year licence fee. This process will occur automatically. More information about the licence extension can be found at https://bit.ly/355JCoU Victorian Game Licence fees go into consolidated government revenue. The GMA does not receive these funds. We will continue to answer your questions on sustainability and responsibility in game hunting in our posts. 09.01.2022 We have just released the Estimates of the 2019 deer harvest in Victoria, which shows an increase in the number of licensed recreational deer hunters and an inc...rease in the number of deer harvested in 2019. Almost 42,000 licensed deer hunters took an estimated 173,800 deer throughout the year a 43 per cent increase on the estimated 121,600 deer harvested in 2018.
