25.01.2022 Australian Fishing Expeditions returning angler Rob Wilson 111 from Texas caught the fish of a lifetime on "Topshot" with Captain Ross Finlayson yesterday. Ross put the fish well over the mark with an estimated 12 foot short measurement. Congratulations to Rob and all the crew. Rob's son Carson is next in the chair hoping to repeat his fathers effort. Norman Pichardo caught a monster yesterday that Ross put at 999#. Ricardo Sola caught on around 650# on 50# test and Angel Muntaneer managed a hot 450# on "Kanahoee" picture below. IGFA Trustee Jose "Pepe" Anton from Ecuador has been practicing for the big one with a couple of smaller fish.

The inaugural IGFA Australian "Passports to Fishing" educational children's fishing clinic will be conducted on Saturday, July 27th at Tinaburra on the shores of Lake Tinaroo from 10.am to 2. pm. If you are aged between 5 to 12 years and want to learn how to tie knots, use a rod and reel, basic tackle, casting and angler safety and conservation then you can register for this free clinic by emailing [email protected] Family participation on the day is encouraged.
