23.01.2022 Feedback: I could only make it to the Friday Teaching Development Day of the Festival and just wanted to say WOW. What a huge amount of work goes into putting on something like that. Hours and hours behind the scenes. As a flute player and teacher I just wanted to say thank you. The quality of the presentations was fabulous. Well done again and hopefully you can exhale on Tuesday! Edwina Carter A huge congratulations on the festival - what a great event it was! Everything wa...s absolutely superb, so much variety and it all went so smoothly... With much thanks, Jocelyn Fazzone xx I just wanted to say thank you so much for all the hard work you put into making such a great Flute Festival! Elizabeth Koch Thank you so much for organising such a great weekend of flute! I had a really nice time for my first ever flute festival, will definitely be coming back to the next one. 16.01.2022 A group of wonderful friends - AFF family #aff2019

16.01.2022 It's taken me a while to get all the photos sorted from the Festival. I wish I could have taken more and went to more events but just couldn't be everywhere at once. Here are some from Day 1!

15.01.2022 Love this photo of Alan Aungles before Matthias Zieglers recital! #awe #wonder #admiration

15.01.2022 The wonderful Peter Verhoyen! So humble, so kind and an extraordinary piccolo player!

12.01.2022 Thank you to everyone who answered the survey! And a big thank you to Flutes & Flutists who are, right now, at NFA securing funding for AFF2021. The Festival could not happen without this crucial connection to sponsors. Our AFF committee are also at NFA listening, connecting and negotiating!

11.01.2022 More festival feedback: Once again, thanks so much for the amazing amount of effort and energy that you put into creating such a fantastic festival for us all! You give so much to the flute community and it is very much appreciated. I hope you were happy with how it all ran: personally I thought it was terrific and had some real surprises and got lots out of the whole thing - I'm just now starting to try to make sense of the pages and pages of notes that I took. Lyndie, y...ou really are a wonder of the flute world! Many heartfelt thanks, xx Jodie I want to thank you for the extraordinary efforts you make for us to enjoy the always-fabulous AFF. I cant tell you how much it means to me to be able to listen to, mix with, learn from, laugh with, exchange ideas with and generally indulge in all things flute with so many people who also love my favourite topic in the universe. You go to incredible amounts of trouble to make sure we all have an excellent time. I just want you to know that we deeply appreciate it. May you enjoy a very restorative post-festival relax. Best wishes and most sincerely, Kate Murphy (Canberra) I could only make it to the Friday Teaching Development Day of the Festival and just wanted to say WOW. Stephanie Dear Lyndie, Just wanted to write and say a big thanks to you and David for such a wonderful festival. It was so inspiring on so many levels and is still resonating in me a week later, and I am sure for a long time yet! It was particularly special to experience such wonderful musicians openly giving and sharing their knowledge, skills and love of music to others in their own unique ways. Best wishes and I hope you have some time to relax a little bit. Justine Congratulations to you, the committee and your team on a wonderful festival! Everyone seemed very inspired. Thank you very much for the opportunity to play in the private masterclasses and the private lesson. They were all very helpful and informative. I am most grateful. Thank you, Judith C

10.01.2022 Opening Concert - Yulugi - Keyna Wilkins and Gumaroy Newman

10.01.2022 The Australian Flute Festival is always an exciting time for flute players in the Australian and Pacific region. It is a time to celebrate and collaborate with our flute family. Live gatherings of musicians for performance, and concept sharing, has very nearly come to a halt across the globe, as we experience the wrath of Covid 19. With international travel at a stand still, and domestic travel severely restricted, the AFF committee felt it was necessary to postpone the Austr...alian Flute Festival 2021. While many of the concert venues across Australia are currently empty, we know you are itching to come together as a flute community. We want to ensure that you all remain safe during this pandemic. We also understand that the Australian Flute Festival is a special time for you all, and we look forward to inviting you to a wonderful festival line-up in 2022 See more
