19.01.2022 Announcing the Australian Functional Fitness Federation 2020 National Champions! Congratulations to @jessicaccoughlan and @iamkhanporter who take out back to back wins for 2019 and 2020! Congratulations to 2nd place Individual male and female finishers, Jenna Lenich and Jake Law along with 3rd place finishers, Mel Scott and Matt Boseley... The above athletes have qualified to represent Australia in the 2020 iF3 Continental Cup along with AFFF National team - The Game Plan. The Preliminary (Intercontinental) Round begins on December 11-13, 2020 Teams on Friday, Dec 11 Individual Women on Saturday, Dec 12 Individual Men on Sunday, Dec 13 Final Round is on December 19, 2020 The 2020 iF3 Continental Cup is a live virtual competition for the top athletes from each country. The competition consists of a preliminary round in the first weekend of December followed by a final round the following weekend. Simple and effective #strength - raw flat out strength, pick a couple of movements and see what you can lift!! #mixedmodal - add some bars, some bigger rep schemes some heavy or light weights and some gymnastics you have a fun time on your hand #gymnasticsskills - you can usually do them or you can’t. If you can’t, guess what, practice until you can #gymnasticsendurance - lots of Reps, some simple some not so simple, you know this will fatigue and test you #power - yeah this one is going to be short but certainly not sweet. Strap in this one is going to hurt. #lovethisshit great concept and really great to be a part of what is the start of something huge. 17.01.2022 Congratulations the 2020 AFFF Youth National Champions! The following youth athletes continued through the competition during one of the toughest years of many of our lives! The determination and resilience these athletes showed throughout the competition shows true grit and dedication and is to be commended! ... The structure for the AFFF Youth event is unlike anything else. Yes, these athletes follow a similar test structure to the individual and teams tests but the youth athletes are also scored separately on technique. This is the way of the future for these guys and they proved they have what it takes! These youth athletes are the future of our sport and potentially our Olympians. Congratulations again to the athletes below for sticking with it and stepping outside their comfort zone. These tests were tough! 15.01.2022 Congratulations to all athletes who competed in the 2020 AFFF National Final! Score submission is officially closed with an exception for Victorian athletes who are still unable to access gyms. The final extension date for Victorian athletes only is no later than November the 4th @10am. You may notice that the leaderboard is hidden. This is to keep individual athlete final scores private until Victorian athletes have completed their tests. ... Team scores are complete! The AFFF video review team will be reviewing these videos over the next week. Official team results will be announced on Wednesday the 28th of October. Youth results are now final. Official results will be announced this week! Email with further details to come Once all scores are finalised, the top 3 male and female athletes and the top team will qualify to represent Australia & NZ in the International Functional Fitness Federation - IF3 Continental Cup. Round 1 of the Continental Cup will be held on December 11th, 12th and 13th. Times will be released closer to the date.
