25.01.2022 Its not everyday you remove an engine from an F-35A Lightning. It was an exciting first for No. 3 Squadron and No. 2 Operational Conversion Unit techos at RAAF... Base Williamtown in February. Check out the gallery to see the Pratt & Whitney engine thats usually hidden within. The F135 is the worlds most advanced fighter engines, delivering more than 40,000 lbs of thrust. The removal of an engine in Australia was an important step forward in the maintenance of our newest fastjet. Our people worked alongside folk from BAE Systems Australia and Lockheed Martin. Also onsite were representatives from Marand, who make the engine removal and installation trailer thats used across the global F-35 fleet. The challenge now is to turn the extraordinary in to the ordinary. What has been done for the first time in Australia is set to become common practice in the future as our engineers and techos maintain one of the most sophisticated jet fighters in the world. 12.01.2022 Hi All . We had a great weekend of racing at Winton with the Under 2lt Sports Sedan Club . The friendly atmosphere from Winton Raceway , the 2lt club and competitors made it a pleasure to be there . On top of that we had a very successful meeting , starting with 1st in qualifying [2nd was only 1 tenth slower] a credit to Lee and mike in the second RX7 . Unfortunately our major opposition fell by the wayside in the 1st race which was a great shame they had done a great job. Through the races we were able to lower the official under 2 litre sports sedan race lap record several times ending up with 1.27.08 time.Once again I would like to thank all of our crew and the Under 2lt Sports Sedan Club.

04.01.2022 TBT - Paul Thomson. Paul was a very active member 2000 to 2008 running just about every year and was generally found at the pointy end. The Toyota powered Alfa... GTV was always beautiful presented. Great battles with Newing, McGunniess, McPherson, Lee Uhlhorn and others. A big rebuild and business commitments meant Paul missed several years before returning in 2013 and 2014. The rear however was not to Pauls likely and upgrade plan was hatched. Again business and life got in the way. Paul however was always close to the club and its members. MD Spares helping people with engine, diff and other components. Many people over the years have benefited from Pauls help. His business MDS Performance was also the club sponsor in 2016. Looking forward to seeing the Black Alfa back one day. Such a cool looking car!
