What I love about my job is that every single person I meet is unique, and every body’s hair has something special about it. Watching my guests faces light up when they see their true curls emerge brings me such joy and pleasure.... After doing hair for as long as I’ve been doing, on thing is for sure, we as stylists are always growing and learning. 10.01.2022 Winter Curl Tips Keep your curls alive this winter. 1. Start Sleeping on Satin or Silk. This is one of the easiest things you can do to prevent your hair from frizz whilst you’re rolling around on your curls. Not only does it feel beautiful on your face your curls will love it. The smooth fibres will prevent breakage and frizz without you having to do anything.... 2. Unfortunately, curly hair doesn’t keep your ears that warm, so depending on your location, hats may be an unavoidable necessity. Thankfully, a kind soul invented Satin-lined beanies and hats that help mitigate hat-hair disasters. Satin doesn’t absorb moisture or create as much friction as other fabrics like cotton do, so your hair truely stays protected and smooth while it’s covered up. 3.Invest in a quality hair mask that is packed with nourishing oils and requires you to leave it for more than a few minutes. Don’t save it for a special once in awhile treat. Slap it on and wrap it every 3 to 4 days depending on how your hair feels. This is no time to skimp. 4. Now, just because it’s winter time and yes, your hair will be mostly indoors and undercover, there’s no better time to take care of your hair than going to your Curly Hair Specialist to trim up some of those dried up ends. 09.01.2022 Tuesday Transformation Loving these muted multidimensional autumn copper tones in the INOA range by L’Oréal. As you can see in the before shots we started off with a base tone that was quite dark with quite a large amount of regrowth. So I started off doing some balayage to lighten the mid-band and used L’Oréal Blond studio Freehand Techniques 6 30 volume. This ultra compact lightning powder is amazing for open freehand techniques, it has Pro-Keratin in it so it really mai...ntains the hair integrity, which is especially important for curly girls. For the root colour l used equal parts 5.4,5.42 20 vol then in the ends l used 7.4,6.42 10 vol. Of course I always use Smartbond to maintain strength and longevity of my colours.
